PFT Commenter Makes Move into Top 5 with Perfect Week

While Frank Schwab remains in first place among Team OddsShark in the SuperContest at the  Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook after going a solid 3-1-1 in Week 14, a new contender has emerged to challenge him and the others at the top of the group standings down the final stretch of the NFL season. PFT Commenter went 5-0 and has put together a 9-1 mark the last two weeks to vault all the way into a tie for fifth place. He was tied for 15th last week out of 24 members and made the biggest move.

Another riser into the Top 10 from 15th is Ryan Fowler, who went 4-1 and is currently tied for ninth place in the group with Jon Campbell (a.k.a. Jonny OddsShark) and Dan Katz (a.k.a. Barstool BigCat). Exactly half (12) of the team’s members enjoyed winning records in Week 14, although not everybody moved up the standings as much as PFT Commenter and Fowler. Kelly Stewart (a.k.a. kellyinvegas) went an impressive 4-0-1 but jumped just one spot to 20th from 21st last week when she went a disappointing 0-5.

The other two members tied for fifth with PFT Commenter are colleague Hank Lockwood – the third contestant in the group representing Barstool Sports along with Katz – and former leader Nick Kostos, who has earned a team-high five pushes this year. Barstool’s fourth member, Larry the Goldfish, who is not participating in the team competition, went 2-2-1 and would be leading the group with a 40-28-2 mark (41 points). Schwab has 38.5 points with Anthony Riccobono sitting in second with 37.5.

Others who did not fare so well in Week 14 include Matt Ufford (1-4), David Fucillo (1-4) and Randall the Handle (0-5). Fucillo was last year’s team champion with 53 points to tie for 24th overall out of 1,727 entrants. This year, current leader MAC SPORTS INC. has 46.5 points while 24 others are within three points of him with three weeks to go. It is also worth noting that the Top 5 Consensus Picks are 12-2-1 against the spread the past three weeks and 30-37-3 overall after going 4-0-1 in Week 14.
