SuperContest: Mad Scramble Week 16

With only two weeks left in the prestigious SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, there is a mad scramble for the more than $2.5 million in prize money that will be awarded to the Top 50 finishers.

David Fucillo and Joe Ostrowski of Team OddsShark are currently tied for 21st overall and also co-leaders in the group standings with 47 of 65 possible points (63 percent). Rounding Again remains the overall leader of the SuperContest with 54.5 points (73 percent), 3.5 ahead of Michael Andrew.

In Week 16, Fucillo and Ostrowski share one pick and are on opposite sides of another. They are both on the Arizona Cardinals (12-2) as 4.5-point home favorites against the Green Bay Packers (10-4). But Fucillo is backing the unbeaten Carolina Panthers (14-0) in their quest for perfection as 6.5-point road chalk versus the Atlanta Falcons (7-7), who Ostrowski likes as home underdogs.

Meanwhile, Rounding Again shares two picks with Michael Andrew in the race for the grand prize of $906,675. Both have the Pittsburgh Steelers (9-5) as 10-point road favorites visiting the Baltimore Ravens (4-10) and the New York Jets (9-5) as 3-point home dogs hosting the New England Patriots (12-2). The top two contestants are not on opposite sides of any games, and you can view all of their selections by clicking here.

The top consensus NFL pick in Week 16 overall is the Denver Broncos (10-4), who host the Cincinnati Bengals (11-3) as 3.5-point favorites in the Monday Night Football matchup. The Broncos were chosen by 446 contestants (26 percent) with the Steelers coming in second (437) followed by the Minnesota Vikings (431), Washington Redskins (420) and Patriots (411).

The Vikings (9-5) host the New York Giants (6-8) as 4.5-point chalk in the Sunday Night Football game after the Redskins (7-7) visit the Philadelphia Eagles (6-8) as 3-point dogs on Saturday, hoping to clinch the NFC East with a victory.

Minnesota and Arizona are the most popular plays among Team OddsShark members, with eight of the 21 (38 percent) selecting them. There is also a tie for the team’s third-most popular choice between Carolina and Denver at seven picks apiece.
