SuperContest Team OS Wk 13 Review

With only four weeks left in the SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook one contestant has taken charge while the Team OddsShark leader is hoping to make a run at first place down the stretch.

Sitting just 3.5 points behind Rounding Again for the top spot and $906,675 grand prize, David Fucillo continued his consistent winning ways by going 3-2 in Week 13 yet dropped from being tied for sixth to seventh.

Unfortunately for Fucillo and the rest of the record field of 1,727 entrants, Rounding Again went 4-1 following a disappointing 0-4-1 performance in Week 12 to take back sole possession of first. Rounding Again has earned 46.5 out of 65 points (72 percent) and owns a two-point lead over Kazbek, who moved into second after also going 4-1.

Last week’s co-leader TD Love Machine tumbled into sixth with an unlucky 1-4 Week 13, showing how critical it is to avoid picking more losers than winners during this time of the season. Nick Kostos also saw his eight-week run of going 3-2 or better come to an end by going 2-3, falling into a second-place tie with Joe Ostrowski in the Team OddsShark Standings.

Both Kostos and Ostrowski would finish in the money if the SuperContest ended now, as they are tied for 49th overall with the Top 50 getting paid.

Two Team OddsShark members went 4-1 to rise in the standings, with Matt Ufford moving into a tie for fourth place in the group and Aaron Nagler tied for sixth. Ufford shares fourth with Jason McIntyre while Rob Pizzola and Ryan Fowler join Nagler in a three-way deadlock for sixth.

Ben Watanabe and Todd Fuhrman both went 3-2 in Week 13 and round out the Top 10 among the group in ninth and 10th place, respectively.

Two others who dropped in the Team OddsShark Standings after going 1-4 last week were Ben Eckstein and Jon Anik. Eckstein is currently in 18th place out of 21 members in the group while Anik is two spots ahead of him in 16th.

The OddsShark Super Computer went 3-2 for the second consecutive week to jump into a tie for 14th.
