Week 10 Team OddsShark SuperContest NFL Picks

Carson Wentz passes

The “Anikonda” has finally squeezed his way into the lead for Team OddsShark in the SuperContest after the first nine weeks of the NFL season. Only his own New England Patriots kept UFC commentator Jon Anik from going a perfect 5-0 last week, as he faded them again by taking the Green Bay Packers as 6-point road underdogs in a 31-17 loss on Sunday Night Football. Otherwise, he was spot on with his NFL picks.

After a rough 3-7 start through the first two weeks, Anik has posted seven consecutive winning marks of 3-2 or better to vault himself to the top of the Team OddsShark standings. He leads Sam Panayotovich by one point followed by Anthony Riccobono, Randall the Handle, 2017 group champion Paulo Antunes and Mike Cole. Randall had led the team for three weeks before going 0-5 in Week 9 to drop into a tie for fourth.

Eagles Land as Most Popular SuperContest Play in Week 10

Whether nearly half of SuperContest entrants are riding with the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) or fading the disappointing Dallas Cowboys, the former is the top consensus pick in Week 10 of the SuperContest. The Eagles are coming off their bye week and hosting the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, six days after the latter fell 28-14 at home to the Tennessee Titans as identical home favorites.

Checking in with the OddsShark NFL Database tells us that Philadelphia has gone an impressive 7-1 straight up and 6-2 against the spread in the team’s last eight prime-time appearances. Meanwhile, Dallas has yet to win on the road this season but has won five of the previous six meetings played at Lincoln Financial Field. Something certainly has to give here, and 1,401 contestants think the Eagles will get the job done and cover.

Falcons Get More Love as Team OddsShark’s Top Pick

A bird of a different feather is garnering more respect from the group this week, and that is the Atlanta Falcons. In fact, Philadelphia is just the third-most popular play among team members behind Atlanta and the Green Bay Packers.

The Eagles were picked by eight of the 22 members (36.5 percent) compared to the Falcons at 12 times (54.5) and Packers at nine (41). Atlanta visits the Cleveland Browns as 4-point road favorites while Green Bay hosts the Miami Dolphins as 9.5-point home chalk in a pair of must-win games. It is worth noting that the group’s top pick has gone 6-3 so far this season. Overall, the consensus Top 5 picks are on an amazing 14-1 run.
