Week 15 Team OddsShark SuperContest NFL Picks

SuperContest Week 15 Team OS Picks

There was a new leader atop the Team OddsShark standings heading into Week 15 of the world-famous SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. But three early games played on Thursday and Saturday have already turned the tide back to a couple familiar names, who are tied for first place again with Sunday’s matchups still on deck.

Mike Cole of Team NESN went 9-1 the previous two weeks to briefly jump into first, and then he lost both of his Saturday picks (New York Jets +6 and Denver Broncos -3). Cole has fallen into a tie for third with OddsShark’s own Andrew Avery, who was on opposite sides of each of those two plays (with Houston Texans -6 and Cleveland Browns +3) to make up some ground and put himself into position to challenge for the group title.

UFC commentator Jon Anik and Chicago sports talk radio personality Joe Ostrowski find themselves tied for first right now with 40.5 points following some early success in Week 15. Anik won his Thursday Night Football pick (Los Angeles Chargers +3.5) and Ostrowski split his Saturday plays to pick up one point each after they were tied for second behind Cole. Defending team champion Paulo Antunes also earned two valuable points to pull within three of the lead in picking two of the three early games.

Packers Most Popular Play for Team OddsShark in Week 15

Two weeks ago, the Green Bay Packers lost at home to the Arizona Cardinals as 13.5-poine home favorites, prompting the firing of head coach Mike McCarthy. On Sunday, the Packers are 6-point road underdogs visiting the Chicago Bears, who have lost 15 of the past 17 meetings in the NFL’s oldest rivalry but can clinch the NFC North with a win.

Team OddsShark loves Green Bay to keep it close at Soldier Field, with 12 of the 22 members (55 percent) taking the Cheeseheads to cover the spread as road underdogs. Exactly half the group also got one point on Saturday night with Cleveland upsetting Denver 17-16 on the road for the team’s first victory in the series since 1990.

Consensus Makes Colts Favorite Pick for Third Straight Week

The Indianapolis Colts have a lot on the line Sunday when they host the Dallas Cowboys as 3-point home favorites. A win over the Cowboys keeps them in the race for the second Wild-Card berth in the AFC while a loss could be devastating to their playoff chances. Nearly a third of the record 3,123 entrants in the SuperContest believe the Colts will come through, with 999 of them backing Andrew Luck’s team.

Indy rewarded supporters last week with a 24-21 upset of Houston as a 5-point road underdog, pleasing the 988 contestants who made the Colts the No. 1 consensus pick then as well. In addition, they were the most popular SuperContest play in Week 13, but that proved to be unlucky as they fell 6-0 at the Jacksonville Jaguars as 4-point chalk.
