Week 5 Team OddsShark Super Contest Picks

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco (5) looks to pass during the NFL football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 30, 2018 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA.

Another strong week for Team OddsShark has set the table for one of the most competitive races ever for the top group prize in the world-famous SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. After the first month of the NFL season, Nick Kostos still sits atop the team standings while Kelly Stewart, Sam Panayotovich, Randall the Handle, Mike Cole and David Fucillo (in that order) are all within 2.5 points of the lead.

Following that group are four more team members who are just three points behind Kostos in Will Brinson, Anthony Riccobono, James Alberino and OddsShark’s very own Jon Campbell. Behind them are Michaela Vernava and the previous two group champions, Paulo Antunes (Bossa Nova Kid) and Frank Schwab (Shutdown Corner). All of the aforementioned contestants have winning records through the first four weeks.

Ravens the Top SuperContest Pick Overall in Week 5

The team liked the Baltimore Ravens so much last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football that they were their most popular play. The Ravens delivered as 3-point road underdogs in a 26-14 win, and they are back as the top consensus pick overall in Week 5, this time as 3-point road favorites versus the Cleveland Browns.

Baltimore has been one of the most impressive teams so far in the first quarter of the year and will be visiting a Cleveland squad led by rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield. Only one member of the team is backing the Browns in the SuperContest – Jon Anik – while five others are supporting the Ravens in one of the team’s lowest-picked games.

Team OddsShark Loves the Redskins on Monday Night Football

The Washington Redskins cracked the Top 5 consensus picks at No. 5, with 757 entrants selecting them overall. But more than half of Team OddsShark (12 of 22 members for 55 percent) is also riding with the Redskins as 6.5-point road underdogs visiting the New Orleans Saints in prime time on Monday Night Football.

For the Saints, quarterback Drew Brees will be going for the all-time NFL passing yardage record while running back Mark Ingram is returning from a four-game suspension to start the season. Meanwhile, Washington is well-rested coming off a bye after beating the Green Bay Packers 31-17 as 2.5-point home underdogs in Week 3.
