Westgate Super Contest Week 11 Results

Week 11 did not yield good results for the OddsShark Prediction Computer or the group leaders, with only four members of Team OddsShark posting winning records. The computer saw four road teams fail to cover the spread, with three of them losing straight-up. One of those three was the Denver Broncos, who fell to the St. Louis Rams 22-7 as 9.5-point favorites. The others were the Seattle Seahawks (+1.5), who lost 24-20 to the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Detroit Lions (+2.5), who actually closed as 1-point favorites but lost 14-6 to the Arizona Cardinals.

The one road team that won but did not cover for the computer was the Pittsburgh Steelers (-6), who rallied back for a 27-24 victory against the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football. The lone winner for the computer was a great one though, as the New England Patriots (+3) crushed the Indianapolis Colts 42-20 for their sixth straight win. However, the Patriots were also the top consensus pick in Week 11, selected by 498 of the 1,403 contestants. Nick Kostos picked New England as well and led the group with a 4-1 mark to improve to 27-28 overall.

Overall group leader Jason McIntyre from TheBigLead.com was one of seven members of Team OddsShark to go 2-3 in Week 11. McIntyre is 30-25 through the first 11 weeks, one game ahead of three others who went 2-3, Matt Ufford, David Fucillo and Todd Fuhrman. In addition to Kostos, three other members picked more winners than losers by going 3-2, including Adam Kramer, Erin Sharoni and David Kaplan who went 5-0 the previous week. Kramer is 13-7 since the birth of his baby girl while Sharoni has turned in consecutive winning weeks for the first time this year.
