Raonic Looks to Make Canadian History at Wimbledon Final

For the second tournament in a row, seventh-ranked Milos Raonic and second-ranked Andy Murray will meet in the finals. Murray beat Raonic 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 in the final of the AEGON Championships, a Wimbledon warmup tournament, in their last meeting

  • Raonic is the first ever Canadian man to make the final of a Grand Slam tournament.
  • Murray owns a 6-3 head-to-head record with Raonic and has not lost to him since 2014.
  • Murray has a 2-8 record all-time in Grand Slam finals.

Milos made a major career leap in his five-set semifinal victory over third-ranked Roger Federer on Friday and will look to carry some serious momentum into his match with Murray. He has been tabbed as a serious underdog at +275 on Bovada and will have a little more tennis on his legs than his opponent. The big-serving Canadian, however, has a serious shot against the fiery Murray, who has struggled in Grand Slam finals throughout his career.

Angry Murray, as I affectionately call him, is the -350 favorite to win his second career Wimbledon title on Sunday after advancing past Tomas Berdych in straight sets in his semifinal. For the Scotsman, it will be his third Wimbledon Final; he won in 2013 and finished runner-up in 2012.

Beating Federer was a serious mental hurdle for Raonic and I think these odds should be much closer. Take advantage of +275 while it lasts, because it will come down.
