Bellator 26 Odds and Preview

Kansas City fight fans will be treated to another Bellator promotion this Thursday when Bellator 26 goes down at the Kansas City Power & Light District.

The special feature fight on the card will be an exciting Welterweight matchup between Season 2 Welterweight tournament semi-finalist Steve Carl (10-2) and power-punching UFC veteran Rory Markham (16-6). If you believe his UFC experience gives him an edge, Markham is a slight underdog at Bovada today. Bellator 26, which will be aired on FoxSportsNet, will also have an opening-round Heavyweight tournament fight between Mike Hayes (12-3-1) and Alexey Oleinik (27-5-1), a Bantamweight tournament fight between Jose Vega (8-3) and Danny Tims (9-2-1), as well as another opening-round 115lb female tournament fight between undefeated Aisling Daly (9-0) and Lisa Ward (13-5). The Special Feature fight is the first action for Steve Carl since getting ousted from the Bellator Season 2 Welterweight tournament by Dan Hornbuckle at Bellator 19. Prior to that loss Carl had put together a string of five straight wins, but the Iraq War veteran will have his hands full again against Markham. Bookmakers have the fight very close, with Carl coming into the fight as the slim favorite at -125. Markam will pay -105 as the slight dog at Bovada. Another close fight on the books is the Bantamweight tournament fight between Tims and Vega. Tims will be the -145 favorite Thursday night while Vega will be a +115 underdog at Bovada. The two fighters have met twice in the past, with each winning once.

Both will be looking to establish themselves in the Bantamweight division, but more importantly these fighters will be looking to settle the score once and for all between each other. The female tournament fight is also close with undefeated Daly getting the nod at -160 at Bovada. Ward will pay +130 if she can be the first to stop her opponent. Like every Bellator fight card, the prelims will consist of local fighters fighting in front of hometown fans.

The undercard shapes up with the following fights: Rudy Bears vs. Zak Cummings Kevin Croom vs. Brian Davidson Brian Imes vs. John Ott Jeb Chiles vs. Demetrius Richards
