Bellator 59 Odds features Friere

The Bellator season Sportsbook among the heavyweights and the bantamweights will be decided Saturday and the Bellator 59 odds point to Thiago Santos and Alexis Vila emerging victorious.

While the heavyweight finale between Santos and Eric Prindle sees the biggest men and the bantamweight finale between Vila and Eduardo Dantas sees the quickest men, most eyes (and MMA bets) will be on the Patricky Freire vs Kurt Pellegrino matchup.

Freire comes off his first loss of the year determined to make amends and resume the win streak that made him one of the promotion’s top lightweights.

“I saw mistakes I was making in my fight with Michael Chandler and I’ve been working very hard to fix them ever since,” he told Sherdog. “I feel even more determined to win the Bellator lightweight championship because I came so close before. I don’t ever want to feel the taste of defeat again.”

Those mistakes were takedown defense and conditioning.

It doesn’t bode well for former UFC contender Pellegrino, even though the betting odds are even at shops such as Sportsbook today.

In the heavyweight final, Santos is a -225 favorite while Prindle is priced at +175 as the underdog. Nicknamed the ‘Big Monster,’ he is 10-1 with five wins by submission.

He is looking to have his way with Prindle, The American Soldier, who has not lost since 2008.

Vila is favored big at Sportsbook in the bantamweight tourney final. The Exorcist is 11-0 with wins over Marcos Galvao and Joe Warren in 2011. Dudu Dantas, just 22 years old, is the underdog in this one and has pulled off a flying knee TKO upset of Wilson Reis and a decision of tough Ed West this year.

Bellator odds on some of the other undercard events should be posted shortly at Sportsbook and expect Sportsbook to also be offering up some round props on the Bellator 59 action.

Levon Maynard and Karl Amoussou are also slated for matches.
