Quinton Jackson and Rashad Evans finally get their grudge match this weekend when the two light heavyweights clash at UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans. This fight between Jackson and Evans was supposed to take place last year after both fighters acted as coaches during the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter. A showdown was set at UFC 107 in December 2009, but it was scrapped after Rampage bailed to play B.A. Baracus in the new A-Team movie.

Despite five months passing since their originally-scheduled fight the animosity is still there between Jackson and Evans. They nearly came to blows during The Ultimate Fighter 10, and leading up to this weekend's fight they been trading verbal barbs constantly through the media and through joint interviews. Jackson returns to the octagon for the first time since fighting at UFC 96 in March 2009.
That night he fought Keith Jardine and won by unanimous decision. That was his eight victory in his last nine fights, and his only loss was against Forrest Griffin in a controversial defeat that lost him the UFC light heavyweight title. Overall Jackson is 30-7 with 14 wins by knockout in his career, and this weekend against Evans he's a slight underdog at -105 at Sportsbook.

Evans' last fight was at UFC 108 in January. He faced Thiago Silva and picked up a win by unanimous decision. Evans is 4-1 in his last five fights and his only loss came against Lyoto Machida by KO at UFC 98. Like with Jackson that defeat lost Evans the UFC light heavyweight title.
Evans enter this weekend's fight sporting a 14-1-1 lifetime MMA record with five wins by KO. He's a slim favorite at Sportsbook at -125 on the latest UFC odds . . .
