UFC 130 Betting Preview

Bruisers Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Matt Hamill will square off in the Octagon this weekend in the main event of UFC 130: Rampage vs. Hamill.

Jackson returns to the Octagon for the first time since fighting Lyoto Machida at UFC 123 in November. That fight ended in controversy after Jackson was award the win by split decision. Many experts who scored the fight thought Machida should have been given the victory, and a number of other UFC fighters have also spoken out against the judges' decision.

Before defeating Machida, Jackson was 2-2 in his previous four fights which included losses to Rashad Evans and Forrest Griffin - both by unanimous decision. Despite Jackson's lackluster performance in the Octagon recently he's still a huge favorite in this weekend's bout at Bovada at -275.

Hamill enters the bout having won his last five fights. He last fought at UFC 121 in October when he defeated his former The Ultimate Fighter coach Tito Ortiz by unanimous decision. Despite his recent success in the Octagon Hamill is a +190 underdog at Bovada versus Jackson.

Also included on the main card at UFC 130 is a Heavyweight bout between former interim UFC Heavyweight champion Frank Mir and Roy Nelson.

It's been almost nine months since Mir last fought at UFC 119 in September. He took on Mirko Filipovic and won by knockout in the third round. Including the win over Filipovic Mir is 2-2 in his last four fights with losses against Shane Carwin and Brock Lesnar. He'll face Nelson at -115 at Bovada.

Nelson hasn't fought since August after a proposed fight at UFC 125 was scrapped due to an injury to Carwin. Nelson has also been kept out of the UFC Octagon due to reported contractual problems with another fighting company.

The last time Nelson did fight at UFC 119 he lost to Junior dos Santos by unanimous decision in a UFC Heavyweight title eliminator. Like Mir, Nelson is listed at -115 in the bout at Bovada.
