UFC 169 Betting: Barao vs. Faber Odds

A full pay-per-view card is lined up for MMA bettors this Saturday night, and a big variety of moneyline and prop bet UFC odds are already available on UFC 169. The card will be headlined by two UFC title fights that include two of the Top 10 pound-for-pound fighters in the world.

With former champion Dominick Cruz stripped of his title due to injury-inactivity, interim title holder Renan Barao will finally get his chance to become the undisputed UFC Bantamweight champion. He is currently a heavy -270 favorite to once again beat No. 1 contender Urijah Faber, who is currently coming with an MMA odds +230 payday at 5Dimes.

With Barao on a 30-fight unbeaten streak and having a dominant decision win over Faber 18 months ago, risking an upset UFC odds payday in this fight is ill advised. Better value may be found in the 29 prop bet options currently available at 5Dimes. Depending on who you like, the Barao by decision at +128 and the Faber by decision at +486 offer more value as the two most likely outcomes.

UFC 169 Odds at 5Dimes

John Lineker  +105
Ali Bagautinov  -135

Jamie Varner  -155
Abel Trujillo  +125

John Makdessi  -170
Alan Patrick  +140

Nick Catone  +160
Tom Watson  -200

Al Iaquinta  -260
Kevin Lee  +200

Clint Hester  -190
Andy Enz  +155

Rashid Magomedov  -260
Tony Martin  +200

Neil Magny  +155
Gasan Umalatov  -190

Chris Cariaso  -155
Danny Martinez  +125

Ricardo Lamas  +425
Jose Aldo  -650

Frank Mir  +250
Alistair Overeem  -325

Urijah Faber  +220
Renan Barao  -280

In the co-main event UFC Featherweight champion Jose Aldo will look to defend his title for the fifth straight time with a win over the highest ranked Featherweight that he hasn’t already beaten. Action on Aldo comes with a hefty MMA odds -600 price at 5Dimes, while the unlikely upset moneyline on Lamas will pay +450.

Prop options we like on this fight include the -195 on Aldo inside the distance or the -170 Aldo wins by KO/TKO. And if one adds in the -280 fight doesn’t go to a decision option it could make for an inexpensive, and fat, Aldo parlay payday.

Frank Mir and Alistair Overeem will battle for relevance in the UFC Heavyweight division in what should be a fast beat-down win for Overeem. At -330 Overeem will likely be too much for Mir in the early going. We like the -195 option on the fight going Under 2.5 rounds.
