UFC 175 Betting: Weidman vs. Machida

Two championship fights will be featured on the upcoming UFC 175 betting card plus an interesting heavyweight battle that the sportsbooks have closely handicapped.

UFC 175 betting odds are already available at Sportsbook, including seven prop options on the main event.

UFC 175 will be headlined by the second defense of the UFC Middleweight championship. Handicappers at Sportsbook have the champion Chris Weidman listed as the -200 favorite, while a win for the challenger and former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida will currently pay UFC 175 odds of +170.

This fight will be determined by how well Machida can move and stay off the mat. If Weidman is able to close the distance Machida’s chances for an upset will go way down. If Machida is able to maintain a safe distance and strike from the outside his chances will go up.

UFC 175 Weidman vs Machida betting odds (watch for updates at Sportsbook):

Marcus Brimage    -110     Russell Doane    -120

Kevin Casey    +150     William Bush    -185      Kenny Robertson    +130     Ildemar Alcantara    -160

George Roop    -200     Rob Font    +160      Chris Camozzi    -260     Bruno Santos    +200      Luke Zachrich    +135     Guilherme Vasconcelos    -165      Thiago Santos    +300     Uriah Hall    -400

Stefan Struve    -165     Matt Mitrione    +135

Ronda Rousey    -1000     Alexis Davis    +600      Urijah Faber    -900     Alex Caceres    +550

Lyoto Machida    +155     Chris Weidman    -190

UFC 175 prop options at Sportsbook seem to be leaning towards a Weidman finish, but we think this one will go the distance. Weidman by decision at +331 or fight goes to decision at +135 look more appealing in this closely handicapped matchup.

In the co-main event UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will look to defend her title for the fourth time in only two years. At UFC 175 she will face jiu-jitsu fighter Alexis Davis and is expected to dominate regardless of where the fight may go. As the current -1700 favorite on the UFC 175 betting lines the prop option Under 2.5 rounds at -350 has much more value.

An anticipated Heavyweight matchup between Matt Mitrione and Stefan Struve is another closely-handicapped fight with the edge currently going to Struve as the -175 favorite. The very possible Mitrione upset will pay UFC 175 odds of +145 at Sportsbook, but the most appealing line on this fight right now is the +120 option on the fight going Over 1.5 rounds.
