UFC 200: Velasquez vs Browne Odds

UFC 200 is shaping up and the main card will feature a battle between Cain Velasquez and Travis Browne, two heavyweights that are likely one win away from a title shot.

Velasquez opened as a large -300 favorite with Browne coming back at +220 on Sportsbook. There is no doubt that Velasquez deserves to be laying so much chalk as he was considered the best heavyweight on the planet not long ago.

Cain will enter the Octagon for the first time since losing his heavyweight title to Fabricio Werdum at UFC 188 in Mexico City. Velasquez did not look like himself with most people theorizing that the thinner air in Mexico City ultimately played a big role in draining his usually non-stop motor.

Browne has been looked at as a gatekeeper to the heavyweight division for years with ‘Hapa’ coming up short when he is under the bright lights. The Oahu, Hawaii-native is coming off a controversial victory over Matt Mitrione in which he poked his opponent’s eye until it swelled to the size of a small former soviet satellite state.
