UFC: Cote vs Cerrone Betting Odds

Canada’s own Patrick Cote looks to cement himself as a contender at welterweight when he takes on Donald Cerrone in Ottawa, Ontario on June 18. Cote could have one last run in him, but Cerrone is out to prove he is championship-caliber at 170 lbs.

‘Cowboy’ is a -175 favorite with ‘The Predator’ coming back at +145 per Sportsbook.

Since dropping down to welterweight, Cote is 5-1 with the Quebec City native winning each of his past two via TKO. Cote is extremely well rounded – as evidenced by holding black belts in three different martial arts – but is primarily a striker. His wrestling has been improving and he has shown an ability to keep the fight where he wants it thanks to his growing skills in that field.

Cerrone easily won his UFC welterweight debut by dispatching Alex Oliveira within the first round of his last bout. ‘Cowboy’ is an excellent kickboxer who excels at using his length to create the space that allows him to utilize his kicks to full effect. Cerrone also has an underrated ground game – thanks to his entertaining striking – as the Jackson-Wink product has 16 career victories via sub.
