UFC Fight Night: Saffiedine vs. Lim

The UFC travels to Singapore this weekend to put on a fight card featuring some of their top Asian and European prospects as the promotion continues to expand into every corner of the globe. Action is available at most sportsbooks on all ten scheduled fights including the undercard.

Headlining this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 34 card will be former Strikeforce Welterweight champion Tarec Saffiedine, who will be making his UFC debut against one of the most promising Welterweights in Hyun Gyu Lim.

Despite being an MMA odds +175 underdog at Bovada, Lim has two impressive KO wins since entering the UFC, and he could easily spoil Saffiedine’s coming-out party.

UFC betting fans have been cashing in on poor debuts for years and despite the -210 UFC betting odds on Saffiedine this fight looks ripe for another upset. Lim has a habit of ending fights in the first round in spectacular fashion, giving the +125 prop odds on the fight going UNDER 2.5 rounds lots of betting value.

Another veteran of the Asian fighting scene will be making his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 34 as Tatsuya Kawajiri faces undefeated short-notice replacement Sean Soriano in the co-main event. In his 42nd pro MMA fight Kawajiri is the current 5Dimes -165 favorite while the Soriano upset will pay +145.

Despite being a replacement fighter, Soriano is 8-0 in his MMA career and should use this fight as a launching pad for bigger things, if he can notch an impressive win this weekend. He has dominated every opponent he’s faced thus far but will be in against a fighter with a world of experience.

Juiz Dutra is also a slight -150 favorite to beat Kiichi Kunmoto in a Welterweight matchup. That option looks like a good UFC betting price on the very dangerous Dultra, who has the power and submission game to end the fight at any time.
