UFC odds are already available on all 12 of the upcoming UFC on Fox 7 fights, including the main event between UFC Lightweight champion Benson Henderson and former Strikeforce Lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez.
Melendez has been trying to get into the UFC for a long time and now he gets his chance against the best Lightweight in the company in Henderson.
These two have been destined to face off for years and now it will happen on the biggest MMA stage there is today.
Melendez is currently handicapped as a heavy +245 underdog at Sportsbook and will need to find a way to slow down the footwork of the champion to have a chance at dethroning him. If he can find a way to cut off the Octagon and land a heavy shot he could walk out as the new UFC Lightweight champion.
The more likely scenario will be the Sportsbook -290 favorite Henderson utilizing movement and outside striking for what should be a decision win. Melendez is likely too tough to finish, so this one should end with Hendo’s hand being raised via unanimous decision.

MMA odds are also available on the co-main event between Heavyweights Frank Mir and Daniel Cormier. This fight is handicapped heavily in Cormier’s direction with the former Pan-Am freestyle wrestling gold medallist currently listed as the UFC odds -420 favorite.
Former UFC Heavyweight champ Mir will likely need to find a way to lock in a submission to beat Cormier, who will hold the edge in wrestling and striking. Mir has the skills to do it, so there is some value in the +335 underdog option at Sportsbook.
In a closer-handicapped fight on the UFC on Fox 7 card Nate Diaz will face Josh Thomson in what promises to be an entertaining bout. Diaz gets the nod as the MMA odds -200 favorite while the Thomson upset will pay as much as +170 at Sportsbook.
