UFC on Fox: Johnson vs. Moraga Odds

Demetrious Johnson has proven to be a worthy inaugural UFC Flyweight Champion so far, successfully defending his title in his last bout against John Dodson.
He’ll look to defend the belt once again when he squares off against John Moraga on July 27.
Moraga is a talented fighter with just one loss over the course of his pro career. Since that loss, Moraga has won seven straight fights including two in the UFC to earn this title bout. Demetrious Johnson is a substantial favorite of -450 to win at Bovada with John Moraga going off as a +325 underdog.
Bettors that don’t want to bet the heavy chalk on Johnson but also aren’t sure if Moraga can pull off the upset should consider the OVER 4.5 rounds at -260 at 5Dimes. Each of Johnson’s last seven fights have gone to the cards, and the champ has never lost via knockout or submission.
Rory MacDonald is a -230 favorite at Bovada over Jake Ellenberger, who is going off at +180 to pull off the upset. This fight should come down to who can control the tempo. If MacDonald can keep the fight on the mat, he is a superior wrestler that should be able to pick up his fifth straight win.
But if Ellenberger can turn it into a striking match, anything goes; 18 of his 29 career wins have come by knockout. Bettors that like Ellenberger in this one should also consider the UNDER 2.5 rounds at -125 at 5Dimes, as he’s far more likely to win this one by knockout than decision.
“If Rory doesn’t get the fight to the ground quickly, Ellenberger will swarm him, just like he did to Marquardt and Shields,” said Jack Randall, the main MMA handicapper here at OddsShark.com. “Rory was even losing to Che Mills before throwing him down and pounding him out at UFC 145.”
