UFC Betting: Rockhold vs. Philippou

UFC betting fans will have another UFC Fight Night card to bet on this week that includes a potential Middleweight title contender matchup between Constantinos Philippou and former Strikeforce Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold.
Both are coming off losses that could have earned them a shot at the title had they won, and an impressive win for either fighter at UFC Fight Night 35 will put them right back into the mix of the new, most-exciting division in MMA.
Handicappers at 5Dimes have Rockhold currently listed as the heavy -390 MMA odds favorite, mainly because he holds an edge in both stand-up and grappling technique. The +320 “puncher’s chance” option on Philippou has some value, but we like the -185 UFC prop odds that the fight goes OVER 2.5 rounds in this main event five-round fight.

The co-main event on the UFC Fight Night 35 card will feature two up-and-comers in the Middleweight division when Brad Tavares faces Lorenz Larkin. This fight is little more closely handicapped with action on Larkin to win currently costing -220 at 5Dimes.
Tavares has four straight UFC wins and could put the right strategy together that would out-point his opponent for the +180 upset payday. This fight has a very good chance to pay out on the -175 OVER 2.5 rounds UFC prop bet option at 5Dimes.
UFC Fight Night 36 odds:
Isaac Vallie-Flag +100
Elias Silverio -130
Charlie Brenneman -185
Beneil Dariush +150
John Moraga -300
Dustin Ortiz +230
Vincent Pichel -155
Garett Whiteley +125
Alp Ozkilic -280
Louis Smolka +220
Derek Brunson +200
Yoel Romero Palacio -260
Ramsey Nijem -155
Justin Edwards +125
Trevor Smith -155
Brian Houston +125
Brad Tavares +190
Lorenz Larkin -240
Mike Easton +230
TJ Dillashaw -300
Cole Miller -185
Sam Sicilia +150
Luke Rockhold -400
Constantinos Philippou +300
T.J. Dillashaw is currently listed as a -285 favorite in his fight with Mike Easton. The once highly-touted Dillashaw is coming off a tough spilt decision loss in his last fight and is currently listed as the -285 favorite at Bovada. He should have the edge in technique in this fight but the price is a little high against a game opponent like Easton.
Easton is well-rounded and could pay out on the 5Dimes +245 upset option if he’s able to put heavy pressure on Dillashaw in the early going.
