Las Vegas Expert Betting Picks: NBA, NHL, NCAAB

LSU Tigers forward Naz Reid (0) steals the ball from Arkansas Razorbacks forward Daniel Gafford (10) on February 02, 2019, at Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, LA.

Vegas veteran Benjamin Eckstein, author of America’s Line, brings three decades of experience to make weekly picks in his “Ecks & Bacon” column.

LAS VEGAS — Did you ever get depressed after winning a nice-sized bet? Well I have, and did this past Sunday. Had some cash on the Patriots, and we were on the right side so the wallet got a little fatter. But seeing Brady & Belichick grab their sixth title was VERY depressing.

NBA pick

On to the NBA action tonight, and I’m gonna rock the Kings -3 points over the Heat. Sacramento? Yeah, actually the Kings are sitting just outside the playoff mix, in the ninth spot, at 28-26. They’ve been playing solid ball, winning three of the last four overall. But more importantly, they’ve won and COVERED eight of the last nine at home, while Miami limps in without Goran Dragic and Derrick Jones Jr. And since the Heat have covered just two of the last seven, you gotta King me.

NHL pick

Lacing up the skates for an NHL selection, and will try the Flyers over the Ducks on Saturday. Philly finally lost a game after ripping off eight straight wins, but this is the perfect matchup for them to start another streak of  Ws. Why? Anaheim is HORRIBLE. The Ducks – and I still have a problem with the name, but at least they’re NOT the Mighty Ducks – have lost six in a row and an astounding 18 of the last 20. UGLIFIED! Gonna fly with Philly.

NCAAB pick

On the college hoop board, taking a look down south and rolling with LSU over Auburn. As long as the spread is less than a field goal, a 3-point FG, the Tigers, from Baton Rouge, are my side. They have won 11 of the last 12 while the other Tigers, from Auburn, have been on a yo-yo string. They just won three straight, against Missouri, Alabama and Florida.

Not exactly the cream of the SEC crop. Before that, Auburn lost three straight, to Kentucky, South Carolina and Mississippi State. So, looks like the Tigers, from Auburn, might have trouble with an LSU team that is DEFINITELY, along with Tennessee, the cream of the SEC. Also gonna take a peek at Florida State over Louisville, Duke over Virginia, and if you can get close to +20, try Saint Mary’s-California against Gonzaga.

And plz, PLZ hit me on Twitter over the weekend, @vegasvigorish, just in case anything pops on the college hoop board.
