Las Vegas Expert Picks: Super Bowl Props and NCAA Basketball

LAS VEGAS — Sometimes, the sportsbooks get it wrong, and you gotta POUNCE!!! This past Monday, we looked at some 4,382 prop wagers, and found a crazy one at Draft Kings. The prop is, Player to score three or more TDs.

Super Bowl Prop Picks

Looked down the list and found Patrick Mahomes at 500/1 to score three or more TDs in the Super Bowl. That was Monday, and I took a taste. Tuesday, it was down to 400/1 and took another taste. Wednesday, it dropped to 300/1 and yup, took another taste. Just called up the Friday charts, and Mahomes is now down to 125/1. Don’t think I’m going to bite again.

However, when you’re watching the game on Super Sunday, ROOT like CRAZY for Ecks & Bacon. If my man Patrick scores three times, it’ll be a very, very, very, VERY SWEET payday. Of course, not saying how much of a taste I took, because you never know who is reading. Let’s just say that I might be able to bring a half-dozen of my favorite Canadians to Vegas, pay for the flights, the hotel, and maybe even a spa treatment!!!

National Anthem

Gonna jump on a few more props before the odds change, starting with the national anthem. Have had a bunch of fun with this prop over the years, and, naturally, did all my research. Demi Lovato is singing the anthem, and the OVER/UNDER total at most joints is 2:00 flat. We’ve found four Lovato anthem outings, and all but one has gone UNDER. The last one she sang, here in Vegas, was before the Floyd Mayweather/Conor McGregor match, and it went 2:11. Look for Demi to stretch it out, and take the OVER!

MVP

Also gonna drop a few pennies on the Super Bowl MVP. Of course, Mahomes (+105) and Jimmy G (+260) are the favorites, but since the take-back is kinda small, not interested. A few years back, took a YUGE position on Von Miller at 20/1 and 25/1, and cashed a PHAT ticket. So, who is it this year? Thinking about Tyreek Hill at 20/1 or 25/1 if you can find it.

PLZ come back to this space next week, and we’ll throw down the game winner, and of course, a few more props.

NCAAB Pick

Time to step on to the college hardwood tonight. Never went to an Ivy League school, but like the way Yale is playing. The Bulldogs have won 10 of the last 11, with the only loss coming at North Carolina. One of those wins came against Brown, a 70-56 romp at New Haven.

The Yalies have gone under the radar because, well, no one really pays attention to the Ivies. No offense to all you Quaker fans. If you don’t believe me, come to Vegas and ask 100 people to name all eight Ivy League schools. You would be lucky to get three or four to guess all eight. Back to basics. The Bulldogs have been a money machine this season, covering 11 of the last 13, so if you see the Yale mascot, Handsome Dan, running around, shake his hand and thank him for the cover.
