What's New: NCAAF Week 3 Preview

Week 3 is here and we’ve got everything you need to set up you for this weekend’s action. A few of the games we’re looking forward to is the Texas Longhorns vs. the USC Trojans and the Clemson Tigers vs. the Louisville Cardinals.

When the Longhorns enter Southern California to take on Sam Darnold and the Trojans, they will open as 17-point underdogs. It’s interesting to note that the total has gone under in 8 of Texas’s last 9 games. OddsShark’s Super Computer has predicted a 46-29 victory in favor of the Trojans. During USC’s impressive run, they have outscored opponents by an average of 17.9 points per game with only one team managing to stay within 10 points.

The Clemson Tigers will look to improve to 3-0 on the season when they enter the Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium as -165 favorites. Louisville, who is 7-1 ATS in its last eight games in Week 3, currently sit as underdogs, while the OddsShark Super Computer has a predicted score of 41-31 in favor of the Tigers. Clemson is 3-0 all time in their meetings against the Cardinals and they’ll look to make it 4-0 on Saturday.

As for the championship futures, we saw a little movement. Alabama stayed put at the top of the board, while USC and Oklahoma moved up and Ohio State and Penn State dropped. You can see the full odds here: https://www.oddsshark.com/ncaaf/college-football-national-championship-odds.

Lamar Jackson still sits at the top of the list for the Heisman Trophy odds.  But the rising of Baker Mayfield out of Oklahoma was the highlight of the week. The OU gunslinger completed 16 of his 17 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns in the second half, leading Oklahoma to a 31-16 victory.
