LA Sparks+2.0 (-102)U 163.5 (-110)+120

My Take: It's happening! the Fever (0-5 SU, 3-2 ATS) are playing their first game of the season as favorites and road favorites at that.

Indiana's positive progress is blatantly obvious if you just look at their last four meetings. They went from plummeting by 36 points to a less painful 11-points, then just a four-point defeat and finally, only a two-point loss a couple of nights ago. Caitlin Clark's 21-point effort shows she's finding the groove in this new league.

We haven't seen too much of the Sparks (1-2 SU, 1-1-1 ATS) this year yet. But be aware of LA's strength of shooting 45.6% from the field (ranked second). However, playing two fewer games against weaker opponents (Washington, Atlanta) while Indiana was battling top dogs (New York, Connecticut) twice might just have the Sparks stats inflated this early in the season.

Though we didn't see it last game when Indiana shot just over 27% from the perimeter, the Fever still sank 34 three-pointers (ranked fourth). With the Sparks allowing the second-worst 9.67 three-pointers, I expect Clark and Indiana to take advantage from beyond the arc.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Fever's first win comes tonight.

Pick: Fever -2.0 (-118)
