So, with the Phillies' hot streak already in mind, tonight's pitching matchup gives me extra confidence in a Philly win. They've had some crazy good outings from Spencer Turnbull lately as tonight's Philly starter has a 1.33 ERA on the year and has allowed just one earned run in his last two starts, combined. On the Angels side, LA starter Tyler Anderson has taken the loss in three-straight outings, allowing seven runs over his last 16.1 innings pitched.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Turner To Get A Hit
Trea Turner owns Tyler Anderson, earning five hits off him in 13 career at-bats. He's hitting .385 off Anderson lifetime, with a 1.082 OPS. The Philly infielder is also on a crazy hot streak right now. Turner is hitting .344 on the season and has a hit in his last six games, collecting 11 hits in that six-game stretch. If there was ever a time to bet on a Trea Turner hit, this is it.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Tyler Anderson Under 4.5 Ks
Turner isn't the only Philly batter who's had historical success against Anderson. Against current Phillies, Anderson has allowed a 1.229 collective OPS in 72 at-bats. He's struck out just 14 batters in that 72 AB sample, too.
Anderson can be hit or miss with the strikeouts, but he's facing a really tough Phillies lineup right now and I don't expect him to pitch deep into the game. Anderson has gone under this 4.5 Ks mark in three of his last four starts, too.
