2025 NFL Draft Odds & Props: Bet on Trey Amos to be a First-Round Pick

With the 2025 NFL Draft set to begin tonight, Thursday, April 24th, it's time to revisit NFL Draft odds and props.

My latest NFL Mock Draft features odds for draft props up and down the board. But, when it comes to the 1st Overall Pick Odds, Cam Ward has skyrocketed from +450 opening odds to the -10000 favorite at Sportsbook. He's basically a lock at this point, with an implied 99.01% shot Ward is the Tennessee Titans No.1 pick.

I'll break down the latest 2025 NFL Draft first-overall pick odds and props Sportsbook to help you cash in on the first ever draft in Green Bay:

Cam Ward Favored In NFL Draft 1st Overall Pick Odds

QB Cam Ward-10000
DE Abdul Carter+4000
WR/CB Travis Hunter+5000
QB Shedeur Sanders+8000

Odds as of April 22nd, 2025 from Sportsbook

The latest NFL Draft odds show that Miami QB Cam Ward is now the clear run-away favorite to go first overall, opening at +450 and moving up significantly to -10000 in the last few weeks.

After transferring from Washington State last year, Ward led the nation with 39 passing touchdowns this season, posting a solid 67.2% completion rate and throwing the ball deeper than any other passer in his conference. He's not as hyped of a prospect as Caleb Williams, as he's not the dynamic running threat. Instead, Ward has drawn comparisons to Big Ben and Baker Mayfield — both high picks and successful NFL products, but not sexy first picks.

He's the safe bet at 1.1, but certainly not as eye-catching as some of the other options.

Bettors Still Love Travis Hunter As 1st Overall Value Pick

If Cam Ward isn't selected first overall, I've gotta think it'll be the reigning Heisman winner, and two-way star in Travis Hunter — even ahead of a guy like Shedeur Sanders.

Bettors seem to be on the same page, as Hunter is the most bet player in the first overall pick odds (28.6% of all tickets) and the biggest liability for the books, per Sportsbook betting data:

Most Bet Player For 1st Overall Pick

  • Travis Hunter 28.6%
  • Shedeur Sanders 20.1%
  • Cameron Ward 14.5%

Hunter is the most-bet player to go first overall, in terms of total wagers. But, Cam Ward has far-and-away the most money on him (likely why he's moved so far up in the odds). Per Sportsbook data, 62.7% of the entire betting handle rests on Ward to go first, which means big bettors and sharps like the Miami passer most. It's hard to get much value at the -10000 line Ward currently sits at, but the number just keeps getting worse and worse.

2025 NFL Draft Prop Bets

With the first-overall pick market out of the day, it's time to delve further into NFL Draft prop bets. Due to the uncertainty of the NFL Draft, this is the one market books are almost certain to take a loss in every year. Which means it needs to be the one that you target with your wagers.

Correctly predicting just when and where prospects are going to be selected is tough even for bookmakers, and most hate the draft season because of it. Time to profit!

Trey Amos to be Drafted in First Round +130

Amos is one of the 2025 this draft class' most physical and competitive corners. The former Alabama and Ole Miss corner is as battle-tested as they come after plying his trade in the SEC over the past two seasons. Amos excels as a press corner, but also uses his fantastic instincts to dominate in zone. Amo allowed a completion on under 19% of throws of 20+ air yards this season. Additionally, the former quarterback's body control and footwork are elite.

There are a number of cornerback needy teams picking in the final third of the first round, including the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, Washington Commanders and Buffalo Bills. Amos would be an excellent selection for any of those squads. Bet on Trey Amos to become a first round pick at +130 odds.

Who Will Be Drafted First Emeka Egbuka or Donovan Ezeiruaku? Ezeiruaku -135

Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is going to play in the NFL for a long time. Egbuka displays outstanding instincts and has the route running ability to consistently win against both man and zone coverage. The 2024 National Champion is also a rabid blocker. However, positional value, and a lack of game-changing size and speed could push him down the board. After all, Egbuka almost always did his best work from the slot and teams rarely draft slot-only receivers early.

On the other hand, pass-rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku has all the traits of a first-round lock. The Boston College pass-rusher racked up 14 sacks last year while posting an elite 18.2% pass-rush win rate. Ezeiruaku's 84" wingspan allows him to make first-contact with blockers, and utilize his outstanding bend to get around the edge. He's slightly undersized at 6'2, but the ACC Defensive Player's length and production has scouts salivating. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ezeiruaku go within the top-20 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Mykel Williams to be Drafted Top 10 +100

Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams has been sitting near the top of draft boards since the beginning of the college season. Despite missing time with an ankle ailment, the 6'5, 265-pound defensive lineman terrorized offenses all year long. Williams length and alien-like athleticism give him a sky high ceiling. The fact of the matter is there are very few humans alive with the size, length and athleticism of Williams.

NFL teams will see a perennial sack artist, and covet the traits Williams' presents. Expect to see junior drafted far earlier than expected on Thursday night. Bet on Mykel Williams to be a top-10 pick at +100 odds.

Previous NFL 1st Overall NFL Draft Picks

Since 2001, 18 of the 24 players drafted first were quarterbacks. WR Keyshawn Johnson (1996) was the last player drafted No. 1 overall who wasn't either a QB or a lineman.

In the past 10 drafts, there were eight QBs and two DL selected first.
