The NFL offseason is chugging along, with free agency and the NFL Draft now behind us, and the 2025 Super Bowl odds keep moving.
After meeting in the Super Bowl last year, Brock Purdy's 49ers and Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs seem like the clear favorites to meet in the big game again next year. Both teams have been jockeying for the top spot in the 2025 Super Bowl odds all off-season, with the 49ers currently leading.
But maybe there's an upset in the works? So, here's a complete breakdown of early 2025 Super Bowl odds for you to wager on:
Who Is Favored To Win Super Bowl 59?
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Kansas City Chiefs | +500 |
San Francisco 49ers | +650 |
Baltimore Ravens | +1200 |
Houston Texans | +1200 |
Cincinnati Bengals | +1400 |
Philadelphia Eagles | +1400 |
Buffalo Bills | +1600 |
Detroit Lions | +1600 |
Green Bay Packers | +1600 |
Dallas Cowboys | +1800 |

Super Bowl Odds: Movement
If you look at 2025 Super Bowl odds around the draft, it's clear bookmakers expect some significant change in the NFL landscape. Here are the biggest movers:
Riser: The Chicago Bears
The Bears have already climbed up the Super Bowl odds, sitting at +3300 after the 2024 NFL Draft. They entered the selection show with +4000 odds, but after adding franchise QB Caleb Williams and top WR Rome Odunze, hopes for the Bears are at an all-time high.
It's not like they're a classic rebuilding team that will likely struggle again next year, either. These Bears have legit talent as the 2024 Draft haul came on top of additions like RB D'Andre Swift, WR Keenan Allen, and S Kevin Byard. This is a Chicago team that's finally building for something. They're going to be competitive in 2024-25, but the question is if they can compete for a Super Bowl.
Faller: Minnesota Vikings
While the Bears are on the up, another NFC North squad is taking a step back.
So far this offseason, the Minnesota Vikings lost QB Kirk Cousins to the Falcons, DE Daniell Hunter to Houston, and cut RB Alexander Mattison.
Sure, they've brought in Aaron Jones and some other depth pieces, but the big problem here is the quarterback and an overall lack of talent. It looks like the Vikings plan to enter the 2024-25 season with Sam Darnold or JJ McCarthy as QB1, I can guarantee you that's going to be a problem. This roster isn't good enough to get by with sub-par QB play.
The Vikings had a good draft haul, adding McCarthy and OLB Dallas Turner with their pair of first-round picks. But, neither of those guys are sure-things (especially McCarthy), and they didn't have another pick until the 4th round. This is a team that needed a lot of work entering the NFL Draft, and still needs a lot of work today. In what's stacking up to be a loaded NFC North, the Vikings are the clear worst team and falling in Super Bowl odds because of it.
Super Bowl 2025 Odds Best Bet: Eagles
The Eagles were a disaster down the stretch last year, but I really like what they did so far this offseason. For starters, they brought a bevy of new coaches, including DC Vic Fangio and OC Kellen Moore.
Those two new coordinators alone should help get Philly back on track. And, the Eagles' moves in free agency should help, too. The Saquon Barkley signing will get all the headlines, but bringing in DE Bryce Huff and depth LB Zack Baun will help elevate the defense, once again. Also, the Eagles seem to kill the NFL Draft every year, and this year's selection show didn't seem much different with headliners like Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell.
This is a team that everybody knows has the talent to compete for a Super Bowl. With new coaches and some minor roster tweaks, I think they're back there for 2025.
Exact Super Bowl Matchup Odds
We've still got plenty of offseason left to go, but that doesn't mean you can try to really predict the 2025 Super Bowl.
If you want to take your shot at a long-term forecast, here are the Super Bowl exact matchup odds:
Matchup | Odds |
---|---|
Chiefs > 49ers | +2500 |
49ers > Chiefs | +3000 |
Ravens > 49ers | +3500 |
Bill s > 49ers | +4000 |
49ers > Ravens | +4000 |
Chiefs > Lions | +4500 |
Bengals > 49ers | +5000 |
49ers > Texans | +6000 |
49ers > Bengals | +6000 |
49ers > Bills | +6000 |
Chiefs > Packers | +6000 |
Odds as of May 6th, 2024
If I were to take my shot at a Super Bowl exact matchup pick at this point, I'd be looking way down the board at some of these Eagles matchups.
You can get Chiefs > Eagles at +6500 or Eagles > Ravens at +9000. I think those both provide some immense value, but nailing this kind of bet is really hard.

It’s no surprise that Tom Brady has dominated recent Super Bowl history. The star QB has won four of the last 10 Super Bowls (three with New England, one with Tampa Bay) and consistently led his squads deep into the playoffs.
The biggest recent Super Bowl underdog was the 2017 Eagles, who beat Brady’s Patriots in the final. They even did so after their No. 1 QB, Carson Wentz, went down with an injury late in the season. Backup Nick Foles took over under center and earned Super Bowl MVP honors to deliver great preseason odds value to Philly’s Super Bowl 52 bettors.

The Steelers and Patriots dominate the history of the Super Bowl. They’ve appeared in 19 of the 57 Super Bowls, winning six each. There is some decent NFL parity, though, with 20 teams claiming a title all-time.

How To Read Super Bowl Futures
A Super Bowl Futures bet is a wager in which you would look at the Super Bowl odds weeks or sometimes months in advance of the big game, and decide which team you think will win. Let’s say you want to make a futures bet today. At your sportsbook of choice, the Super Bowl odds might look something like this:
If this were a moneyline bet, you’d be able to see which team is the clear favorite because it would have a minus sign beside its moneyline odds (-). For Super Bowl futures, the team with the lowest Super Bowl odds is favored to win the NFL championship, and the rest are underdogs.
Let’s say you feel strongly about the Saints and believe they’re going to win it all. If you were to bet $100 on them and they did triumph, you’d get a payout of $650 – your original $100 is returned along with your winnings of $550. Our Super Bowl Odds Calculator will show you how much you’d win based on the odds and amount bet.
The Super Bowl odds change throughout the season as key players get injured, trades happen and coaches get fired. Line movements for NFL futures happen weekly, so if you see Super Bowl odds you like, it’s best to bet on them ASAP. The Packers may be +900 to win the Super Bowl in October but after a surge in November their Super Bowl odds could jump to +400 and you’ll make less money than you would if you’d bet them at +900.
