2024 WNBA Champions Picks & Best Bets
Here's the analysis for the top of the oddsboard, including a value pick!
las Vegas Aces (-105)
The Las Vegas Aces have been an absolute wagon, aiming for a three-peat this season. The Aces dropped a single matchup in the postseason and were barely threatened all year, finishing with a 34-6 record.
It's a lethal lineup when you have to face A'ja Wilson (22.8 PPG), last season's finals MVP, Kelsey Plum (18.7 PPG), Jackie Young (17.6 PPG) and Chelsea Gray (15.3 PPG).
Ahead of this season, Candace Parker announced her retirement. The 2008 first-overall pick averaged 16 PPG and 8.5 rebounds last year. A legend will be missed but it shouldn't affect the group too much.
The Aces don't know what it's like to trail. The bench is full of MVP candidates and continues to thrive as far as I'm concerned.
New York Liberty (+240)
The Liberty are the only team that has proven they can touch the Aces, defeating them four times last year and making history picking up over 30 wins.
New York stands on Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu. Both ladies averaged over 31 minutes a game last season with Stewart standing second in the nation dropping 23 PPG. We're all aware what Ionsecu is known for, shooting a whopping 44.8% from beyond the arc last year.
It's hard not to believe this WNBA season will continue to be a two-team race between the Liberty and Aces.
WNBA Championship Value Pick: Indiana Fever (+2500)
Indiana's odds opened +3000 but with Caitlin Clark selected as the first-overall pick, the Fever's chances have budged favorably.
With a sold-out crowd at College Park Center watching, Clark stepped on the court for a preseason game and dropping 21 points and three rebounds. Not too bad for her first performance.

But we know what Clark, who broke the all-time WNCAAB scoring record previously held by Kelsey Plum, is capable of.
It'll be the second straight season Indiana will have the first-overall pick. Last year they snagged Aliyah Boston, last season's Rookie Of The Year. Boston playing alongside Clark, a generational talent currently averaging 32.4 PPG, is insane. The Iowa native will make an immediate impact.

Last 10 WNBA Champions

2022 | Las Vegas Aces | 3-1 | Connecticut Sun |

2020 | Seattle Storm | 3-0 | Las Vegas Aces |
2019 | Washington Mystics | 3-2 | Connecticut Sun |
2018 | Seattle Storm | 3-0 | Washington Mystics |

2016 | Los Angeles Sparks | 3-2 | Minnesota Lynx |
