2024 NFL Schedule Release Primer

With the 2024 NFL schedule dropping later today, Ninja and Tony take the some time to preview some things that we could see and talk about the games that we already know are out there. With these games that do have lines, is there any point to betting them? How seriously SHOULD we be taking them? And also, are there betting angles that we should be looking at with these early lines? Tony gets educational for a moment and breaks it all down for us. That said, we do know about a handful of games and sports books even have points spreads and totals for some so we’re gonna dive right and break down our thoughts for each of these and if we should do anything even though we are a few months away from the actual start of the season. But what the guys really want to do, is dig into a sleeper team and an overrated team for the 2024 season and how they could be looking forward to the release of their respective schedules to either play or fade and see how it impacts their win totals, division futures, etc. All this and much more on this week’s episode of The Huddle!

We’re going 2024 NFL Draft heavy this week and we’ve enlisted the help of 2003 Mr. Irrelevant Ryan Hoag to talk about all things Draft Day. How to Bet the NBA & NHL Playoffs
On this week’s show, Tony and Ninja explain why and how betting on the NBA and NHL playoffs can be different from betting regular season games. Before digging into what the playoffs have in store, the guys talk about another watershed moment for women’s sports: the WNBA Draft. It was another insane ratings boon for the league and the women’s game in general. Next up, Tony loves his NHL betting and explains a few things you should be paying attention to when digging into NHL Playoffs matchups and series. He even breaks down his candidate to be this season’s dark horse pick much like the Florida Panthers were last season. To follow up, Ninja does the same thing with NBA. There are definitely some elements to be mindful of when capping basketball games comes playoff time. And after that, Ninj breaks down a couple series price markets that he loves. Lastly, the guys dig into the NFL draft. Tony breaks down his top 10 mock draft as well as a trio of picks that he thinks are worth hopping on sooner rather than later! I’ve been referred to as “Ninja” for the most part in my, oh, 13-year-or-so career as a writer, video producer, video host, capper, analyst and content creator. There isn’t an overly-entertaining explanation for why that nickname has stuck, but it has.

Fun fact: my first ever bet was a bad beat. It was Browns at Saints in 1999. Tim Couch’s rookie season. I had Saints moneyline. Couch throws a bomb some 60 yards in the air at the end of the game and somehow Kevin Johnson is able to get his mitts on it for six. Browns win. From that moment on, I consider myself to be somewhat of an aficionado of heart-breaking betting losses. “But my capping was on point!” he says, hiding the tears.

Apart from being a die-hard fan of Tottenham Hotspur, the San Francisco 49ers and Toronto Blue Jays, you can find me on the golf course, or cooking up something delicious in the kitchen for the fam, or watching some obscure Japanese or Euro film that nobody gives a s*** about.
