Game 3: rangers vs hurricanes preview & pick
The Game: NY Rangers vs carolina hurricanes, 7 PM

TeamPucklineTotalMoneyline
NY Rangers+1.5 (-180)O5.5 (-110)+145
Carolina Hurricanes-1.5 (+150)U5.5 (-110)-175

Josie's Take: Talk about a nail-biting series. These two have been cutting it down to the wire. But, I shouldn't be shocked. Once I did some digging I learned that six of their last seven meetings have been decided by one goal.

So is Carolina, the third-best regular season team, going to be on the verge of being swept? I don't think so. The first two games of this series have been a well-fought battle. But, the Canes get to return home. In their last 10 playoff games, Carolina is 7-3 SU when hosting in Raleigh.

Pick: Hurricanes ML (-175)

Michel's Take: The Rangers have covered a +1.5 puckline in the last six meetings where they were dogs against Carolina. Look at their last 14 meetings where the Rangers were the dogs and New York is 8-4 (67%) on the puckline. Eleven of those 14 games (79%) were in Raleigh, the site for tonight's game.

But look, the Rangers could still lose this game and my bet would hit. So long as they don't lose by two or more goals. That's the beauty of the dog on the puckline.

Since 2019, these Metropolitan Division rivals have played 20 times. The Rangers have either won outright or lost by only a single goal 15 times (75%). I'll gladly take the Rangers on the puckline tonight.

Pick: Rangers +1.5 (-180)

Game 2: Avalanche vs stars preview & picks
The Game: Colorado avalanche vs dallas stars, 9:30 PM

TeamPucklineTotalMoneyline
Colorado Avalanche+1.5 (-245)O6.5 (-102)+110
Dallas Stars-1.5 (+200)U6.5 (-118)-130

Josie's Take: That overtime result wasn't a surprise, I knew this series paired up evenly. Colorado opened the series with an intensity-building road win to continue its five-game playoff streak. To boost the Avs' ego even more, they have won 10 straight road meetings coming off an overtime win.

Momentum is swinging with Colorado.

Pick: Avalanche ML (+110)

Michel's Take: You and I know Dallas as this tough defensive team, but that goes out the window against the Avalanche. This is what Colorado's skill does to teams, it forces them to play the Avs game.

In their last seven meetings, the OVER has cashed six times. It cashed three times at a line of 6.0 and then 3-1 when the line was eventually moved up to 6.5!

Stars goalie Jake Oettinger isn't very good over his career against Colorado with a poor 3.05GAA. It's much worse this season with a pathetic 4.74GAA. Horrendous.

I have no qualms about taking OVER 6.5 goals in this one. And at -102 there's some good value to be had too.

Pick: OVER 6.5 (-102)
