2024 NHL Playoffs Series Prices: Final First Round Pushes & Early Second Round Odds

A playoff rivalry that we know very well is about to be reignited. Since the 2010s, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins have gone head-to-head in the opening round three times. As we all remember, each series went to seven games with Boston advancing in all. 

The Bruins have defeated the Leafs four times this regular season. But, perhaps Toronto's league-leading offense (3.71 GPG) can clinch a playoff series over the Bruins for the first time since 1959.

Series Tied 3-3

The Vegas Golden Knights and Dallas Stars for the third time in the postseason since 2020, each winning a series in that span.

The Stars Dallas enter the first round carrying a 12-2-0 record and a +26 goal differential. Meanwhile, the Golden Knights retrieve Mark Stone and Tomas Hertl off LTIR -- shocker! Who's got the edge?

The first matchup of the second round is set with the top two from the Metropolitan Division. The New York Rangers, ignoring the President's Trophy curse, swept the Washington Capitals with ease. The Canes also swiftly eliminated the Islanders in five games.

The regular season series tipped in favor of the Rangers, going 2-1 SU. Notably, New York won the single game played at PNC Arena. Two of the three games were seriously low scoring (2-1 Rangers, 1-0 Rangers). 

No doubt the talent will keep this close. Their last postseason outing in 2022 went a full seven-game series. I would expect no less this time around.
