Game 5: bruins vs panthers preview & pick
The Game: Boston Bruins Vs Florida Panthers, 7 PM ET

TeamPucklineTotalMoneyline
Boston Bruins+1.5 (-148)O5.5 (-105)+180
Florida Panthers-1.5 (+124)U5.5 (-115)-218

Josie's Take: Tonight's meeting has a Panther's win and Bruins elimination written all over it. First of all, Florida are absolute dogs at home, winning nine of their last 10 games hosted at Amerant Bank Arena. The one loss came in Game 1 of the current series but we'll chalk that up to Boston's Game 7 adrenaline rush and Florida rusting between series.

Boston nearly tightened the series last game but giving up the lead in the third period definitely deflated the tires a bit. Plus, no Brad Marchand yapping on the ice and adding the annoying intensity sure makes a difference. Not to mention, the Bruins have a Game 5 curse, losing four straight in the playoffs.

Scoring 15 in the last three games, the Panthers have it and the Bruins just don't. Bye, Boston!

Pick: Panthers ML (-218)

Take a look at Josie's +402 same-game parlay for this matchup!

Michel's Take: Since the 2023 playoffs the Panthers have been lethal in series-clinching games with a 4-2SU record. Now with Boston on the ropes, they can make it 5-2 over the past two playoffs. Why not?!

At home in these playoffs, Florida is 9-5 for a strong 0.643 winning percentage. And they've had no problems scoring on Swayman (and Ullmark) with 15 goals over the past three games. I'm with Jose, the Panthers win but I'm gonna chase some value instead of taking the Cats at -218 on the ML.

Going back to the 2022 playoffs, the Panthers have won five series, but only one series clincher with a decidedly one-way scoreline (that 6-1 win over Tampa in Round 1 this year). The other four were one-goal games. When it comes to series-clinching games, the Cats can't get it done cleanly. So I'm taking the Bruins on the puckline at -148.

Pick: Bruins +1.5 (-148)

Game 4: Canucks vs oilers preview & picks
The Game: Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers, 9:30 PM ET

TeamPucklineTotalMoneyline
Vancouver Canucks+1.5 (-142)O6.5 (+102)+170
Edmonton Oilers-1.5 (+120)U6.5 (-122)-205

Josie's Take: Despite the Oilers opening as -260 favorites to win this series, the Canucks have the opportunity to take a 3-1 lead on this series tonight. The odds here have a bit of a discrepancy to me. Have we failed to remember the Canucks have defeated the Oilers in six of the last seven meetings between the two?

Sure, Edmonton may have the advantage of being at home tonight. But, the Oilers are a split 2-2 at Rogers Arena this postseason, not exactly boosting my confidence in them.

The Canucks held the top guys, Hyman and McDavid, to zero points last outing. Clearly, there's some heroic story being written with an unexpected third-stringer Arturs Silovs (.908SV%) being the protagonist. Plus, with this profit, I'm for sure taking a stab on Vancouver tonight.

Pick: Canucks ML (+170)

Michel's Take: I'm not going to overcomplicate things for myself with this game. As I've done for the entire series I'm taking the OVER tonight. Quelle surprise!

Why wouldn't I? The line is 6.5 goals with the OVER at plus money (+102). Through three games in this series, these two rivals have pumped an average of 7.7 goals per game! Go back to 2022 and the total has gone OVER seven times in 10 games (70%).

And look, in Game 3, Edmonton was wasteful scoring only three goals on 5.24 xG. They should have scored another 2 goals. I'm riding the OVER again, tonight.

Pick: OVER 6.5 (+102)
