Same-Game Parlay Leg 1: Bruins +1.5

In my expert picks tonight I took the Bruins on the puckline. Sadly I couldn't get the same odds. Between writing that piece and this one I could only get the B's +1.5 at -192. And trust me I shopped around.

Since the 2022 playoffs, the dog has gone 7-2 against the puckline in Game 1 of the second round. Now add, that these teams have battled it out to single-goal games three out of four times this year and I like this bet even if I lost of few points of value.

The Bruins aren't about to be blown out in this one.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 2: Both Teams To Score (YES)

This is where I make up for that 7-point loss on the puckline (and some). I get why the "No" side of this bet is favored. Both teams have great defensive records. Florida had the joint-best defensive record with Boston ranked fifth in the NHL.

For Boston, both teams have scored in their last eight games, while for Florida it's once in their last eight games.

If you're just looking at playoff games, both teams have scored in 38 of Florida's 41 playoff games since 2020 while for Boston a "No" on this bet hasn't hit since May 16, 2019. It's been a while.

You'd have to go back to December 4, 2018, to find a Boston-Florida game (regular season or playoffs) where both teams didn't score. Big thanks to our NHL database for that stat.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 3: Sam Reinhart O0.5 Points

There is no Florida Panthers skater more productive against Boston since the 2020-21 season than Sam Reinhart with his 12 points in 11 games.

Taking the second leg of this SGP to inform our third leg, I believe both teams will score. And with Reinhart's ability to score this season with 57 goals and 94 points as well as his productivity against Boston, he'll get on the end of at least one of the Panthers' goals.
