NBA Draft: Which Team Selects Lonzo Ball?

After trading D’Angelo Russell, the Los Angeles Lakers have basically already told the world they are going to select Lonzo Ball second overall in the upcoming NBA draft. Without a true point guard on the roster, Ball will almost certainly be wearing the purple and gold next season much to the pleasure of Lavar Ball.

There had been reports that Ball underwhelmed during his workout with the Lakers earlier this month. Not to say Ball didn’t perform well, but reports suggested the point guard didn’t separate himself from the likes of Josh Jackson and De’Aaron Fox to the Lakers brass.

Though Ball brings ridiculous vision, natural size and a high basketball IQ to whichever team drafts him, he also comes with questions about his shot and his ability to run an offense in the half-court.

There have also been rumors circulating that Jackson might be the Lakers' choice, though these circulated before the Russell trade. Jackson would bring the Lakers a versatility on both offense and defense, which coach Luke Walton is sure to love. If Jackson were to go to the Lakers, they would likely be committing to a small-ball lineup with the rookie and sophomore Brandon Ingram manning the forward positions.

Of course, we won’t know for sure until the night of June 22 but signs are strongly pointing to Ball being a member of the Lakers.
