Army vs. Navy Betting Odds Preview

The Midshipmen of Navy have already retained the Commander-in-Chief's trophy for this season; now they'll shoot for a 12th straight victory in the great college football rivalry that is the Army-Navy game on Saturday in Philadelphia.

Navy retained possession of the CIC trophy with a victory over Air Force earlier this season. At 7-4 the Middies are headed to a bowl for the tenth time in the last 11 seasons. Army, meanwhile, at 3-8, is going to miss a bowl for the third straight season.

Navy's last two victories in this series have only come by a total of 10 points and the past seven editions of this game all played UNDER the total. The spread had been bet up to 12.5 points as of Friday over at Sportsbook.

The Midshipmen currently sport a record of 7-4, and have posted a corresponding betting slate of 8-3 ATS. The Black Knights are 3-8 and 4-7 ATS. Betting totals have seen the Midshipmen post a 5-6 over under record this season, while the Black Knights have gone 5-6 against the number.

Army Navy betting odds: Several shops tracked by OddsShark (including Sportsbook) set the point spread at -10 in favor of Navy but it was bet up to -12.5 by Friday. NCAA football bettors saw the over under value at 51.5 over at Sportsbook.

This game matches up the No. 70 (Midshipmen) and the No. 107 (Black Knights) teams in the league, according to our current NCAAF Power Rankings at OddsShark. A 34-23 result in favor of the Midshipmen is predicted by handicapping models.



Army lost its last outing, a 49-42 result against Hawaii on November 30. Army failed to cover in that game as a 5.5-point underdog, while the 91 combined points took the game OVER the total. The Black Knights suffered a Week 14 loss against Hawaii in their last game, falling 49-42 at Aloha Stadium. Keenan Reynolds tore up the turf for 240 rushing yards in the latest Midshipmen game, a 58-52 win over the Spartans at Spartan Stadium.

Defensively, the Black Knights feature the league's No. 96-rated road run defense, allowing 213 yards per game. Navy, meanwhile, ranks No. 5 in rushing offense at home.
