Golf Betting: PGA Championship Odds

Jordan Spieth has played the PGA Championship twice in his career and missed the cut both times. However, he's still listed as the betting favorite at the online sportsbooks to come out on top at the 2015 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits from August 13-16.

Spieth missed the cut at the PGA Championship in both 2013 and 2014, but so far this season he's managed to win both the Masters and the U.S. Open and finish in a tie for fourth place at the British Open. That has him listed at +550 on the odds to win the PGA Championship at Sportsbook.

Rory McIlroy is then second at +900 on the PGA Championship odds at the sportsbook, although he missed the British Open with an ankle injury. McIlroy won the PGA Championship in both 2012 and last year, and has finished in the Top 10 at the tournament five times in the past six years.

Dustin Johnson is at +1200 on the PGA Championship odds at Sportsbook along with Jason Day and Bubba Watson, with Justin Rose and Rickie Fowler at +1800, Adam Scott at +2200, and Henrik Stenson at +2500. Phil Mickelson holds down +4000 odds for the tournament, with British Open Sportsbook Zach Johnson back at +4000 odds as well.

And as for Tiger Woods, he's sitting also at +4000 on the odds to win the 2015 PGA Championship at the sportsbooks after he followed up his missed cut at the U.S. Open with a missed cut at the British Open. Woods also missed the cut at last year's PGA Championship but he's won the tournament four times, most recently in 2007.

Rory McIlroy is the heavy favorite and Tiger Woods is sliding down the list of 2014 PGA Championship odds as the sportsbooks gear up for the final major golf betting event of the season.

McIlroy is coming off two big victories over the past month, winning the British Open by two strokes over Sergio Garcia and Rickie Fowler and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational by two strokes over Garcia again. At Sportsbook McIlroy's PGA Championship odds sit at 9/2.

Woods, meanwhile, is well back at 33/1 on those golf betting lines at Sportsbook as of Tuesday night after he left the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational with back pain. Woods has yet to announce whether or not he will be in the field at Valhalla for the PGA Championship this week.

Adam Scott trails McIlroy at 11/1 on the odds to win the PGA Championship at Sportsbook, with Garcia and Justin Rose both at 16/1, and Fowler and Phil Mickelson at 20/1. Henrik Stenson then sits at 25/1, with Keegan Bradley and Matt Kuchar both set at 28/1 on the tournament odds.

Bubba Watson and Jim Furyk join Woods at 33/1 on the PGA Championship odds at Sportsbook early in the week, with Charl Schwartzel, Graeme McDowell, and Jordan Spieth all at 35/1 on those golf betting lines for the major tournament which gets underway on Thursday morning.
