Final Four Odds: Syracuse Michigan

Two No. 4 seeds hit the hardwood at the Georgia Dome on Saturday as the Syracuse Orange take on the Michigan Wolverines in Final Four betting action at the sportsbooks.

And if the recent Jim Boeheim vs John Beilein history is any indication, Syracuse will upset Michigan as 2-point underdogs. In nine games between Syracuse's Boeheim and Michigan's Beilein, the Orange are 9-0 SU. (That includes games when Beilein coached Richmond and West Virginia).

Syracuse topped Marquette 55-39 to pay off for their supporters in the Elite Eight last time out. Michigan also won handily in their Elite Eight matchup, knocking off Florida by a score of 79-59 in a game in which they were the 3.5-point underdogs.

The 4 vs 4 seed means that the Final Four 'higher seed' trend is not in play. In the past 13 Final Four matchups with higher and lower seeds, the higher seed won 12 games.

The Orange sit at 30-9 (19-15-1 ATS) on the season. By comparison, the Wolverines are currently 30-7 (19-16-1 ATS). Looking to wager on the totals? Syracuse is 14-20 OU, and Michigan is 20-16 OU.

Over under bettors should be aware that, since 2005, this round has produced UNDERs at a 11-4-1 rate.
