No. 3 North Dakota State will play No. 6 UMKC in the second game today as a prohibitive 18-point favorite on the college basketball betting lines at the sportsbooks. The Bisons crushed Kansas City by a combined 56 points in their first two meetings this season.

Saturday marks the start of this year’s Summit League Tournament at Sioux Falls Arena, with South Dakota State the favorite on the betting odds at the sportsbooks to come out on top at the event.
The first round of this tournament is actually split over two days, with the top two seeds playing on Saturday and the next two highest seeds playing on Sunday.
In Saturday’s early game the No. 1 seed South Dakota State Jackrabbits will face the No. 8 seed IUPUI Jaguars. This is a mismatch considering the Jackrabbits went 13-3 straight up in the Summit League this season while the Jaguars managed just one SU victory in league play. In two meetings during the regular season, South Dakota State won both by a combined 52 points.
The second game on Saturday’s slate features a matchup between the No. 2 seed Western Illinois Leathernecks and the No. 7 seed South Dakota Coyotes. Western Illinois also went 13-3 in league play and was 21-7 SU overall. It finished the season 7-3 SU but failed to cover against the spread on the Summit League betting lines in its last four games.
The No. 4 seed Oakland Golden Grizzlies and the No. 5 seed Fort Wayne Mastodons kick things off on Sunday in the early game. These two have actually played each other twice since February 20 with Fort Wayne winning both games SU as an underdog in each contest.
Sunday’s second game pits the No. 3 seed North Dakota State Bison against the No. 6 seed Kansas City Kangaroos. The Bison could be the sleeper team in this tournament with a 22-8 SU record overall and a 12-4 record in league play. In two previous meetings this season, North Dakota State won 63-44 as a 13.5-point road favorite and 71-34 as a 19-point favorite at home.
