SC Winless on the Road This Season

This is not a year to remember for the Gamecocks, but the biggest difficulties have come on the road where South Carolina is 0-3 SU and ATS. South Carolina has been outscored 121-54 on the road, an average scoring margin of minus-22.3. The Gamecocks will look to record their first win or cover on the road this season when they visit the Texas A&M Aggies Saturday.

Shark Bites
  • The total has gone UNDER in eight of South Carolina's last 11 games.
  • Texas A&M is 2-5 SU and ATS in their last seven games at home in October.
  • SC receiver Pharoh Cooper has 14 catches for 265 yards and two touchdowns over the past two weeks.

The post-Steve Spurrier era got off on the right track with a 19-10 win over Vanderbilt two weeks ago. Now interim coach Shawn Elliott has had a bye week to truly prepare his team and get ready to try and salvage this season for the Gamecocks. The lone standout offensively for South Carolina is receiver Pharaoh Cooper, who has accounted for five of the team’s 13 offensive touchdowns.

Two straight losses have tempered some expectations for Texas A&M. Sure those losses were against powerhouses in Alabama and Ole Miss, but the Aggies looked completely overwhelmed in both cases.  A&M combined for 26 points in those two games, with an embarrassing three points last week, with quarterback Kyle Allen throwing four picks and no touchdowns.
