Nothing like Lady Gaga to get hardcore football fans excited, right?
Right?!?!
Well, either way, betting on the Super Bowl halftime show has become a tradition that can make the monotonous attempt at drawing in non-football fans more palatable. Even if you’re not going to be singing along to whatever Gaga is singing from her new album, I heard she’s a country singer now, you can still make some dough.
You can’t talk about Gaga without talking about her clothing. Stefani Germanotta has caused plenty of commotion over the years with her clothing choices, the most infamous being her meat dress. There is a long list of props related to just how Lady Gaga will dress throughout her performance, with the best bet coming in for her wearing a hat or headdress (-150). Gaga wears a large pink hat on the cover of her newest album and that has become somewhat symbolic of her newer, country-leaning music. If you’re feeling ambitious, you can get Gaga to wear a pink hat specifically at +300.
Of course, the queen of ridiculous costumes will be changing throughout the huge performance. The total for Gaga wardrobe changes sits at 2.0 (-120/-120). With the Super Bowl halftime shows lasting anywhere from 20 to 35 minutes, it’s hard to fathom Gaga only wearing two outfits.
Aside from what she will wear, we need to look at Gaga’s performance itself. We all know that many great musicians have heavily influenced Gaga, but none more so than David Bowie. With Ziggy Stardust’s passing this past year, you can get Gaga covering one of Bowie’s classic songs at +200. There are several artists listed for Gaga to potentially cover, but none make more sense than Bowie.
And of course, every halftime show needs its fair share of random cameos from other musicians. The NFL has yet to announce who could be making appearances beside Gaga at the Super Bowl LI halftime show, but Kendrick Lamar and Beyonce are both coming in at +330. Both Lamar and Beyonce have collaborated with Gaga in the past, which makes for a natural entrance point for the superstars. However, you can also get Gaga performing the entire show by herself at -140.
