UFC Odds: Lesnar vs. Overeem

After a long wait MMA betting fans will finally get to see if Alistair Overeem belongs in the UFC or not when he takes on the highly-ranked former champion Brock Lesnar.

As well, there's a matchup on the schedule between Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrone, and MMA betting fans will get to see one of the safest bets in the sport return to action when Jon Fitch takes on wrestler Johny Hendricks.

Overeem is one of the most accomplished Heavyweight fighters in the world with a ton of experience under his belt. Oddsmakers at Sportsbook think his striking skills will be too much for Lesnar to handle and have Overeem as the UFC odds -140 favorite.

This will be a big stage for the former K-1 and Strikeforce champion in his first fight in the Octagon. [ And round by round odds on every fight with tons of cool UFC 141 prop betting options will be on tap at Sportsbook ]

The chances that Lesnar is able to get this fight to the ground are very real, and if he does he will pay off at MMA odds of +125 for the upset. If he has improved his standup over the last year it could end up being a good battle between two elite athletes. Lesnar has been out of action for over a year and could show up rusty.

Cerrone made quick work of Siver in his last fight and is handicapped as a Sportsbook -260 favorite against Diaz. His mixture of Muay Thai and submissions is tough for any fighter to handle, and Diaz will need to utilize his jab and look to get the fight to the ground to be most effective.

If Diaz comes out the way he did against Takanori Gomi in this fight he will have a real chance to pull off the upset and pay out.
