We’ve got a Super Bowl betting matchup featuring the NFL’s top offense versus the top defense and a tiny point spread.

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos were 2.5-point favorites at most sportsbooks Sunday (-3 at Sportsbook over the Seattle Seahawks.

"Many in the industry are still predicting a late burst of Seattle money, because there is a lot of sharp sentiment out there that Seattle's defense will control this game," said Jack Randall of OddsShark.com.

Manning reached his third Super Bowl by leading the Broncos to an impressive win over nemesis Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

The Broncos (15-3, 11-7 ATS) finished strong, covering the spread in seven of their last 10 games and setting an NFL record for points scored in a season. Denver went 4-0 straight-up and against the spread versus NFC opponents this season. The Broncos were the only team to be favored in every game this season.

The Seahawks advanced to the franchise’s second Super Bowl with a 23-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Seattle (15-3, 12-6 ATS) boasts the league’s best pass defense and will test Manning and the Broncos’ top-ranked passing offense.

The Super Bowl betting total was set at 47.5, and weather could play a factor. The game will be played outside at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Twelve of Seattle’s 18 games stayed UNDER the total this season. In contrast, 11 of Denver’s 18 games have gone OVER the total.

Supporters of the Seahawks have seen them go 15-3 and 12-6 ATS so far this season, while the Broncos are at 15-3 and 11-7 ATS. In totals betting, the Broncos are 11-7, while the Seahawks are 6-12.
