2016 NBA Draft Odds

The NBA Draft is widely considered the most important date of the year for professional basketball clubs. With the correct pick, the outlook of a franchise can change. We at OddsShark have all of your odds needs covered for the big event.

Online book BetOnline is offering a full list of betting options. If Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram go first and second to the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers, bettors will have to pay -800 chalk. On Tuesday, the Sixers allegedly told Simmons they would select him with the No. 1 overall pick.

The Boston Celtics, who own the No. 3 pick, are favored to take Providence standout Kris Dunn. Dunn (-120) is ahead of Jaylen Brown (+325), Dragan Bender (+400) and Buddy Hield (+600). The C’s are already deep at point guard, which has led them to actively explore trading the pick. It's a virtual toss-up at this point, so there's tons of value here.

At No. 4, Marquese Chriss is a -205 fave to go to the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have expressed more interest in Chriss than any other team in the lottery, so it wouldn’t be a shocker to see this be a landing spot for the Washington product.

Dunn is a +150 favorite to go to the Minnesota Timberwolves at No. 5, with Jamal Murray (+155) and Hield (+200) right behind him. The T-Wolves reportedly covet Dunn, and if he doesn't go at No. 4, it would be a shock to see him slide past Minny.

There’s been an influx of international players in the NBA within the last few years, and the 2016 Draft class figures to have a ton of talent from overseas. BetOnline has priced the OVER/UNDER of international players taken at 13, with the OVER paying -115 and the UNDER at -115.

There’s plenty more available at the shop. The 2016 NBA Draft gets underway on Thursday, June 23.

For the first time since its inception in 1985, the lottery played out exactly as the odds predicted. Including Philly, only five teams with the worst record have been rewarded with the No. 1 selection.

At Bovada, LSU product Ben Simmons opened as a -160 favorite on May 18 to be the first player taken. Former Duke standout Brandon Ingram opened at +125, while the field was priced at +1000. At this point it would be a huge surprise to see anyone besides Simmons or Ingram go first, but stranger things have happened in the NBA.

Less than 24 hours after the props were released, the book has already shifted those odds. Simmons became a heavy -500 favorite to be the first player selected, with Ingram coming in at +300. The field was available for a price of +2500.

But as of May 30 Simmons' odds have been lowered to -300, with Ingram's at +200 and the field at +1600.

According to a report from Bleacher Report, the 76ers are leaning heavily toward selecting Simmons. It’s all speculation at this point, but the Australian would make an immediate impact on a young roster that’s suffered through three seasons of constant losing.
