Super Bowl Odds: Movement

If you look at 2025 Super Bowl odds after free agency, it's clear bookmakers expect some significant change in the NFL landscape. Here are the biggest movers:

Riser: Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are a team full of potential. They already had a few young cornerstones in receiver DJ Moore, RT Darnell Wright, safety Jaquan Brisker. So far this offseason, they've also added some fun pieces to the puzzle like WR Keenan Allen and RB De'Andre Swift. But most importantly, the Bears have two top-10 picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, including the first overall selection.

Chicago has a chance to draft QB Caleb Williams at the top of the draft, grab another stud at No. 9, and maybe trade Justin Fields for more futures. If the Bears play the draft right, I think Chicago could take a big step forward in 2025.

They may not be Super Bowl contenders just yet, but they've got an easy enough schedule I could realistically see them jumping into the playoffs.

Faller: Minnesota Vikings

While the Bears are on the up, another NFC North squad is taking a step back.

So far this offseason, the Minnesota Vikings have lost QB Kirk Cousins to the Falcons, DE Daniell Hunter to Houston, and cut RB Alexander Mattison.

Sure, they've brought in Aaron Jones and some other depth pieces, but the big problem here is quarterback. If the Vikings enter the 2024-25 season with Sam Darnold as QB1, I can guarantee you they aren't winning anything. Even if they grab a McCarthy or Penix in the NFL Draft, next season will be a step back in Minny.

Super Bowl 2025 Odds Best Bet: Eagles

The Eagles were a disaster down the stretch last year, but I really like what they've done so far this offseason. For starters, they brought a bevy of new coaches, including DC Vic Fangio and OC Kellen Moore.

Those two new coordinators alone should help get Philly back on track. And, the Eagles' moves in free agency should help, too. The Saquon Barkley signing will get all the headlines, but bringing in DE Bryce Huff and depth LB Zack Baun will help elevate the defense, once again.

This is a team that everybody knows has the talent to compete for a Super Bowl. With new coaches and some minor roster tweaks, I think they're back there for 2025.

It’s no surprise that Tom Brady has dominated recent Super Bowl history. The star QB has won four of the last 10 Super Bowls (three with New England, one with Tampa Bay) and consistently led his squads deep into the playoffs.

The biggest recent Super Bowl underdog was the 2017 Eagles, who beat Brady’s Patriots in the final. They even did so after their No. 1 QB, Carson Wentz, went down with an injury late in the season. Backup Nick Foles took over under center and earned Super Bowl MVP honors to deliver great preseason odds value to Philly’s Super Bowl 52 bettors.

How to Bet on Super Bowl 59

When it comes to betting on the NFL, odds are available before teams take their first regular-season snaps. You can even bet on a potential Super Bowl winner in August. Certain squads will always be contenders, especially if they won the previous year.

When sportsbooks set the lines, they look at offseason roster moves, coaching changes and past on-field performance. To bet on Super Bowl odds, you’d make a futures bet.

You can find updated Super Bowl 59 odds at most sportsbooks. If you're looking for recommendations on how to choose the best book for you, head over to our NFL sites review page.

How To Read Super Bowl Futures

A Super Bowl Futures bet is a wager in which you would look at the Super Bowl odds weeks or sometimes months in advance of the big game, and decide which team you think will win. Let’s say you want to make a futures bet today. At your sportsbook of choice, the Super Bowl odds might look something like this:

  • Kansas City Chiefs -300
  • New Orleans Saints +550
  • Green Bay Packers +900
  • Buffalo Bills +1000
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1100

If this were a moneyline bet, you’d be able to see which team is the clear favorite because it would have a minus sign beside its moneyline odds (-). For Super Bowl futures, the team with the lowest Super Bowl odds is favored to win the NFL championship, and the rest are underdogs.

Let’s say you feel strongly about the Saints and believe they’re going to win it all. If you were to bet $100 on them and they did triumph, you’d get a payout of $650 – your original $100 is returned along with your winnings of $550. Our Super Bowl Odds Calculator will show you how much you’d win based on the odds and amount bet.

The Super Bowl odds change throughout the season as key players get injured, trades happen and coaches get fired. Line movements for NFL futures happen weekly, so if you see Super Bowl odds you like, it’s best to bet on them ASAP. The Packers may be +900 to win the Super Bowl in October but after a surge in November their Super Bowl odds could jump to +400 and you’ll make less money than you would if you’d bet them at +900.
