The Marlins lead the MLB in NRFIs

YRFI/NRFI Picks For May 22: Luzardo 7-0 NRFI

We're back with some midweek YRFI/NRFI picks (Yes/No Run First Inning). You're crazy to wait a full game for MLB prop bets to hit. Instead, you're better off scrolling this page and locking in your Y/NRFI picks.

Here are my two Y/NRFI bets for Wednesday, May 22:

Pick 1: White Sox vs Blue Jays: No Run First Inning (-115)

Matchup Preview - Game Time: 7:07 pm ET

I'll happily parlay this bet with my UNDER bet from my expert picks piece.

Listen, the Blue Jays offense has shown signs of life lately, but more often than not, the group lets everyone down. Even against a bum starter like Nick Nastrini, the NRFI is still in play.

Toronto is 25-21 NRFI and only made stronger by Chris Bassitt's presence on the mound. The right-hander works hard during his starts, but never in the first inning, when he owns a 1.00 ERA in nine starts. Bassitt is as clean as they come early in the game, and I'll bet he stymies the White Sox again.

Pick 2: Brewers vs Marlins: No Run First Inning (-130)

Matchup Preview - Game Time: 6:40 pm ET

We are back in Marlinville for another NRFI episode, and this bet has been a goldmine lately. Miami remains one of baseball's best NRFI teams (28-22), and Wednesday's pitching matchup does a lot of the heavy lifting for us.

As sketchy as he's been lately, Freddy Peralta has allowed just three earned runs in the first inning all year. His 8-1 NRFI represents one of the best marks in baseball. The Marlins will toss their ace Wednesday, too, with Jesus Luzardo taking the hill. The lefty has been shockingly efficient in the first frame, toting a 7-0 NRFI record in seven starts.

You'd be hard-pressed to find more decisive trends than what we've got here. Bet accordingly.
