Royals vs White Sox SGP

MLB Same-Game Parlay April 17th: Royals vs White Sox (+295)

I just missed on my Orioles vs Twins same-game parlay last night, whiffing but just a single strikeout from Grayson Rodriguez. So tonight, I'm going back to the AL Central for another MLB SGP.

Check out the three legs for my White Sox vs Royals same-game parlay for April 17th below:

White Sox vs Royals Same-Game Parlay: April 17th

The Game: White Sox vs Royals - 2:10 p.m. ET

BetOdds
Royals Moneyline-185
Brady Singer over 5.5 strikeouts+105
Vinnie Pasquantino over 0.5 hits-250
Overall+295

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Royals moneyline

Just a quick glimpse at the standings tells us the Royals should probably be winning this. Kansas City sits at 11-6 while the White Sox are way down at 2-14, the worst record in baseball.

However, I also think this pitching matchup heavily favors the Royals, too. In particular Brady Singer faces a White Sox lineup that owns the league's worst team OPS against right-handed pitchers like him. The White Sox are hitting just .204 against righties so far this year.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Singer over 5.5 Ks

Like I mentioned above, the White Sox are really exposed to righties like Singer. They've struck out 96 times in just 372 plate appearances against right-handed pitchers, owning just a .277 team OBP against the platoon split. Singer, on the other hand, has been pretty electric so far this year. The Royals righty hasn't allowed more than a single run in any of his three outings, sporting a 0.98 ERA on the season. He's also averaging 6 strikeouts per start in his first three outings.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Pasquantino To Get A Hit

The White Sox are starting 23-year-old Jonathan Cannon for his MLB debut today. The young righty has been pretty solid in the minors, but he has been pretty prone to giving up hits. Across two minors levels last year, he allowed 9.4 hits per nine. And to start this year, Cannon has let up 9.3 hits per nine. Both are very high marks, so I'm confident taking a hit prop today.

In his career, Pasquantino has been a bit better at hitting righties. He owns an .812 career OPS against righties, compared to a .762 against southpaws.
