NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup For Feb. 9: Bridges' Offensive Tear To Continue vs. Bucks

NBA daily fantasy incapsulates the worlds of fantasy sports and sports betting into one fun and riveting contest that can lead to massive gains for those who participate.

The DFS lineup will incorporate a standard starting lineup of a PG, SG, SF, PF, and C, along with an additional G, F, and UTIL slot at a salary of $50,000 which cannot be exceeded. Points are allocated based on the statistical production from each individual player that night.

Here's a look at our lineup for the NBA's slate of games on Friday, February 9, 2024:

NBA DFS Lineup For February 9, 2024

  1. PG: Scottie Barnes, Toronto Raptors

    $8,500

  2. SG: RJ Barrett, Toronto Raptors

    $7,100

  3. SF: Miles Bridges, Charlotte Hornets

    $8,600

  4. PF: KJ Martin, Philadelphia 76ers

    $4,100

  5. C: Paul Reed, Philadelphia 76ers

    $5,800

  6. Gary Trent Jr, Toronto Raptors

    $4,600

  7. F: Taurean Prince, Los Angeles Lakers

    $4,400

  8. UTIL: Austin Reaves, Los Angeles Lakers

    $6,900

PG: Scottie Barnes, Toronto Raptors (Vs. Rockets)

The newly-minted NBA All-Star recorded 28 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal for 44.75 fantasy points when the Toronto Raptors last played the Houston Rockets on Feb. 2. With former backup guard Dennis Schroder now a member of the Brooklyn Nets after the trade deadline, Barnes may be called upon even more for ball-handling duties.

SG: RJ Barrett, Toronto Raptors (Vs. Rockets)

Barrett has scored over 20 points in each of his last eight appearances for the Raptors dating back to Jan. 15, and has exceeded 40 fantasy points in five of those games. Toronto will be giving the Canadian guard a healthy dose of playing time for the remainder of the season, viewing Barrett as a key part of its long-term future.

SF: Miles Bridges, Charlotte Hornets (At Bucks)

Having scored 41 and 45 points in his last two games, respectfully, Bridges will now face a Milwaukee Bucks defense giving up 121.1 points per 100 possessions (21st overall) since naming Doc Rivers the new head coach. Expect another explosive offensive performance from the 25-year-old wing, even if he falls short of a third-straight 40-point line.

PF: KJ Martin, Philadelphia 76ers (Vs. Hawks)

Martin's 28 minutes against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday were his second highest of the campaign, and the third time in five games he's played 21 minutes or more. The Philadelphia 76ers are struggling to find consistent scoring these days, and Martin's value at $4,100 could be an undersell with even more playing time.

C: Paul Reed, Philadelphia 76ers (Vs. Hawks)

Like his teammate Martin, Reed will also see a fantasy boost as a result of the Sixers needing fresh bodies. His minutes were limited recently due to an undisclosed illness, but upon feeling better against the Warriors, Reed tallied 30 fantasy points across 31 minutes with six points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a pair of blocks.

G: Gary Trent Jr, Toronto Raptors (Vs. Rockets)

The hot and cold nature of Trent Jr's game makes him a risky fantasy play most nights. The Raptors need him to deliver offensively, though, and they clearly see something there after not sending him packing ahead of Thursday's deadline. Trent Jr. is averaging 13.9 points with 3.3 3-pointers over his last seven games.

F: Taurean Prince, Los Angeles Lakers (Vs. Pelicans)

Prince was moved to the Los Angeles Lakers' second unit the last three games in favor of Rui Hachimura, but his numbers have yet to take a noticeable hit as a result. He's exceeded 24 fantasy points in two of those games, averaging 12.7 points in 28.9 minutes during that stretch.

UTIL: Austin Reaves, Los Angeles Lakers (Vs. Pelicans)

A $6,900 price tag is fantastic value for a player averaging the 26th-most minutes in all of basketball over the last four games and whose contributed over 41.5 fantasy points three times over five games.
