Booker Ices Knicks 

"Always complainin’ bout the double," as Devin Booker so eloquently described his miraculous fadeaway 3-pointer which sealed the New York Knicks' fate on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden as the Suns win outright as six-point underdogs.

Booker finished with a team-high 28 points and 11 assists to lead the Kevin Durant-less Phoenix Suns to a narrow 116-113 victory at the Mecca, improving the team's record to 11-6 overall.

The three-time All-Star currently has +2600 odds of capturing the NBA's Most Valuable Trophy, just behind Durant at +2300.

Jackson Fails To Scale Mt. Wembanyama

Denver Nuggets guard Reggie Jackson should certainly be applauded for his efforts, thinking even for the slightest moment that he stood a chance of snatching the ball away from the 7-foot-4 giant Victor Wembanyama. 

Jackson does have six blocks through 17 games, which is just as many as he had all of last season across 68 appearances with both the Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers. 

Denver did emerge with a 132-120 win over Wembanyama's Spurs, at least, so Jackson can still hang that over the 19-year-old's head. That is, if he can get that high.

Wizards, Pistons Mid-Off

The Flint Tropics and San Antonio Spurs had the Flint Michigan MegaBowl in the classic Will Ferrell comedy "Semi-Pro," and now the Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons will have whatever they want to dub their duel of the duds at Little Caesars Arena on Monday. 

Losers of a combined 22 games in a row with identical 2-14 SU records, one team will emerge with a seldom seen victory while the other will have the sole distinction of having the worst record in the Association.
