NBA Same-Game Parlay For Feb. 1: Lakers vs. Celtics

The most storied rivalry in all of basketball takes center stage on Thursday night when the Los Angeles Lakers visit the TD Garden to take on the Boston Celtics.

Let's put together a same-game parlay for this matchup and potentially win some money.

Thanks a lot, Derrick White. This marked the first time in five games that White had scored 20 or more points in a game. Figures as much considering how putrid the Indiana Pacers' defense can get.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Boston Celtics ML

Taking the Celtics on their home floor is money, especially this time around considering the potential injuries the Lakers may have to deal with on Thursday.

Both LeBron James (ankle) and Anthony Davis (Achilles, hip) are currently listed as questionable, which explains the substantial spread set at 11.5 points in favor of Boston. There's a chance one or both may ultimately suit up, but even if that's the case, betting against the Celtics when they've lost just two games all year in their backyard is too risky.

The Lakers are dealing with their own issues, even when fully healthy. James tweeted out an emoji of an hourglass early Wednesday morning after his team's latest loss, but it came with no context. They're currently a game under .500 and haven't strung together three victories in a row since early December.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Derrick White OVER 15.5 Points

Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice ... let's not get to that.

We'll give White more leeway here to get over 15.5 points against a Lakers side he dropped 18 against on Christmas Day. The Celtics have such a stacked starting lineup that any one player can take over offensively, or the love is shared equally to the point where everyone contributes, but no one has what's considered a monster performance.

This one could get away from Los Angeles early if they're missing their stars. White could do some serious damage if that's the case.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Kristaps Porzingis To Record 8+ Rebounds

Kristaps Porzingis returned to the lineup against the Pacers following a two-game absence with an injured ankle and finished with a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds in a steady 31 minutes of action.

He's only grabbed double-digit rebounds in six of his 34 appearances this season, but did end up with 11 boards against the Lakers on Dec. 25.

If Davis is sidelined, there will be a ton more breathing room around the basket to gobble up missed shots. Let's be optimistic here and say Porzingis will reach the mark.
