Nikola Jokic defends Victor Wembanyama

NBA Same-Game Parlay Tonight: Nuggets vs. Spurs

Two of the most dominant big men in the NBA go head to head on Friday when Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets visit the Frost Bank Center to take on No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.

Let's put together a same-game parlay and win some money.

A greater effort was expected from the Phoenix Suns after having just lost to the Boston Celtics on Saturday. Kevin Durant coming one 3-pointer short of hitting his prop is an easier pill to swallow than Phoenix not being more competitive to cover a six-point spread.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: San Antonio Spurs -106

The reigning champion Nuggets are the hottest team in basketball, having won 10 of their last 11 games. Six of those victories covered the 10.5-point spread laid out by oddsmakers for Friday's game against San Antonio, as well.

Any spread of 10 or more points is usually intimidating for bettors, and understandably so. Take solace in the fact that Denver has covered with an 8-3 record ATS over its last 11 games and previously beat the Spurs by 12 points back in late November if you're leaning in that direction.

San Antonio has been competitive in its own right with a 6-2 mark ATS over its last eight outings and 3-4 SU over its last seven, which includes a win over the first-place Oklahoma City Thunder. Let's project the Spurs keeping the score within single digits, at the very least, before ultimately coming up short.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Nikola Jokic OVER 25.5 Points

Prior to his 12-point effort against the Miami Heat on Wednesday, Jokic had gone five-straight games scoring 25 or more points while attempting 20.4 shots per contest. His eight shots taken in South Beach was actually his lowest output of the season when playing at least 30 minutes.

Jokic actually scores and shoots more away from the Ball Arena, averaging 26.7 points on 18.5 shots on the road as opposed to 25.2 points on 16.6 shots in his backyard.

A cold night offensively by his standards earlier in the week isn't enough to deter us from taking the OVER on 25.5 points. The two-time Most Valuable Player scored 39 points previously against San Antonio, which was his second-most points of the 2023-24 campaign.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Victor Wembanyama 2+ Made 3-Pointers

Of the 58 appearances Wembanyama has made his rookie season, the 7-foot-4 Frenchman has connected on two or more 3-pointers in 37 of those games while attempting an average 5.1 shots from the perimeter.

Wembanyama has drilled at least two 3-pointers in each of his last six games, as well, taking a healthy 6.3 attempts at a 40 percent clip.

Jokic is the gold standard of frontcourt players across the Association, and after getting showed up on Nov. 26, Wembanyama may look to keep pace offensively and put up big numbers himself. Then again, such level of production just comes naturally at this point.
